What a tool. You're trying to weasel out of condemnation, but were it even something as innocuous as saying grace at a Catholic site, you'd be on the horn to the ACLU.

And you still believe that Fox News Story despite the fact that it contained only the assertions of Jessica's offended parents and no proof of the curriculum, huh?
Yes, I would have no problem with the kids visiting the Catholic Church, so long as parent could opt out, and George was not present.

The one and only reason Duke does not have a problem with this school's approach is because it was detrimental to Christians.
Had the educational instruction been tilted in favor of Christianity, he and his dogs would have howled for weeks.
You hate the First Amendment, don't you Tip? Terrible that because of the Constitution, you can't get Christianity back into the schools, huh?

Boy Howdy...point out the fact that proof of God's existence has not yet been scientifically accomplished and the freaks come out to swarm, but none of them can refute it.

It's a news story. I am presenting my argument against you based on what is given to me.

You're presenting your argument with the lack of same.

I'm intrigued. You've deflected the issue of the alternative assignment for those who did not attend the field trip. Revealing. Let's beat and burn and then draw and quarter those Muslims and Jews and claim they were better treated than today's US minorities, right?

Sorry about your luck, Eric:

Record return of Arctic ice cap as it grows by 60% in a year

Almost a million more square miles of ocean covered with ice than in 2012
BBC reported in 2007 global warming would leave Arctic ice-free in summer by 2013
Publication of UN climate change report suggesting global warming caused by humans pushed back to later this month

No, what I am saying is that based upon what I read in the story, I believe that the parents are biased, and I therefore do not believe their characterization of the alternative assignment that is included in the story.

That's it.

The public schools of old often taught the Bible. They were founded mainly to get people to adopt the mindset of "civil religion" of a kind of Protestant mish-mash.

The First Amendment only bars the federal establishment of a "Church of England" analogue. After the fact, the 14th Amendment bars a state from doing the same, though none had this by then.

The First Amendment is not French laicite, that's the Warren Court's invention.

Define meditation Paco. Simple. Is it a religious exercise, a spiritual one, neither, or some combination?

And who gets to choose?

Funny how you keep qualifying your responses.

I made a statement you cannot refute. Why can't you simply admit that the statement I made is true?

Took a few decades to get that First Amendment properly interpreted and applied, huh Karl???

But hey...we're all better off for it.

LOL...it's so very obvious from the damyankee who refuses to note that the school was given opportunity to respond, and declined to refute the parents' characterization of the event.
