BTW, I've never had any problem with JFK, the man. By today's standards, he was a Republican. You're letting your hate for me cloud your already minimal thought processes...as usual.
Like I said, you weren't hobknobbing in Dallas 50 years ago, so you didn't witness it.

Do a little research. There were plenty of folks down there who were quite pleased that weekend.

I didn't say a word about their political bent to the left or right. I said there were influential white people in Dallas who were quite pleased that weekend.

If one does a little reading, one could easily conclude that LBJ was one of them.

Are you implying Johnson was happy Kennedy was killed for his own gain?
I can believe it! He was a lousy leader! Ugh!

I am saying that if one reads a bit, one can easily arrive at that as a reasonable conclusion.

His deceased mistress certainly thought so.

In response to your "You need to start reading some posts on Columbus Topix. That kind of behavior by the wingnuts is on display daily. I bet you could find an example on this very page."

It's dead on topic, you moron. You're so stupid that when you maddeningly drool when unable to come up with a response, you cry "Changing the subject!"

You and your daddy are having a bad week, little girl.

Both were lousy. Kennedy was the Obama of his generation, but he had style and martyrdom. Johnson was a shrewd man who knew how to work the levers of government to get things done. Unfortunately, he was clueless about what the priorities of this country should be and why he gave us the Vietnam disaster, and the Great Society diaster.

I also have to laugh at conservatives opinion on Kennedy's so-called "conservatism". Someone who boinks as many people as Kennedy did was no conservative. And passing around Marilyn Monroe from brother to brother for a quickie was just plain sick.

But that's beside the point. some of Kennedy's views may have been "conservative", but Conservatives are wrong about this because it doesn't mean Kennedy would have been frozen in time. I;m sure Kennedy would have evolved over the years to become every bit as leftist as the rest of the Kennedy clan.

Oh, I totally agree! Charisma, and at the dawn of TV, he was visible to the people, unlike other previous presidents. Jackie was a cool First Lady also which enticed and peaked the interest of Americans.
I didn't like Johnson because of the war and he wasn't a well like person, comparing him to others.
Speaking of views, I have different party views..I don't always agree with one particular party, that's why I am an Independent!
Hope everything is good for you. Happy Thanksgiving! Any special plans?

After the ascension of LBJ to the presidency, Israel got everything they wanted now that Kennedy was dead.

Under LBJ, Israel got to keep their covert nuclear weapon arsenal, unlimited US military and financial support, and they were able to cover-up their attack on the US Navy ship USS Liberty.

JFK was the last US president that effectively defied Israeli demands.

The "discussion" contained more than two posts, 3.1. You have always had trouble thinking in context.

Wrong again, 3.1. What that meant was that you aren't capable of maintaining a discussion on it's topic. When you discover that you are wrong, you attempt to divert the focus to something or someone else. Most people allow you to do it. I don't. And when I call you on it you engage in your childish claims of victory.

LBJ made quite a bit of income off of his relationship with Brown and Root, tax free so I hear.
