Louisiana State Senator Elbert Guillory was a Democrat until a few weeks ago, when he left the party and joined the GOP. He's now released a video explaining what pushed him over the edge.
The video paints the Democrats as the party who are hostile to black people, and Republicans as the best party for African Americans. "Somehow it has been forgotten that the Republican party was founded in 1854 as an abolitionist movement," Guillory says in the video. "The Democrats, on the other hand, were the party of Jim Crow."

Hopefully this man will not be discouraged by the negativity that will surely follow this decision. Blacks need to follow individuals like this as well as Clarence Thomas, Thomas Sowell, Walter Williams, Armstrong Williams and J.C. Watts.

Blacks need to follow Senator Elbert Guillory and finally leave the Government Welfare Plantation.
