<quoted text>They were so hot back then.Did the pic of my old truck show up yet? It's so sad what happened to it.The driver after me fell asleep at the wheel and smashed it into a bridge killing himself. That pic was taken on the Ohio turnpike right after my boss put $32,000 into her.Everything was new.New engine, new tranny, and a 28 inch stretch with all new suspension.
Wow, It's beautiful. You got to drive that?
Oh, and stop messing around with waitresses before Glitter and I have to take dual action.:-)

You fly to the Caribbean and get drunk.
I can say from personal experience that I HIGHLY recommend being drunk in the Caribbean. Cable Beach or Barbados. At 2 AM, go to a casino and play blackjack with strangers against the dealer.

it's the rum, mon....

That was such a nice truck after my boss got done with it.It's a shame that somebody died in it though. And it gets worse. That truck killed 4 people before I got it.The driver was high and ran right over a families car.It ripped the front axle right out of it.I wish I could fiqure out how to put the pics of my other trucks on here.I will change my avatar to the other truck that I was in a horrible accident in in Chicago. It wasn't my fault though.A bunch of people wrecked in front of me and I had nowhere to go.I hit the back of another truck doing 50 mph.lots of injuries including me,but nobody died.I had my boss take a picture of me in it after I got back home.

And that's the difference between us. I can get drunk at home, though rarely anymore. I can go to a casino 10 miles from my home. When I travel, it's to get some experiences and sights I can't get here. I try to LEARN some things. And the Caribbean has close to zero allure for me.

And I forgot, it's single malt scotch at least 15 years old when I do drink.

The Caribbean seemed cool and exotic in my 20s. Now, I find the Gulf coast has everything I need for a good time by the water with the added advantage of being within driving distance.

People don't really think about how tenuous their rights are after they leave our borders. And many of the Caribbean islands outside of the tourist enclaves are cesspools.

I don't drink at home. Maybe a beer or white russian when we go out, but hardly at all.
Yeah, there's a casino at the racetrack here too. Holds no allure for me at all. I never bet on the horse races. Never occurs to me to go to the window. Now if I have kids over 12 with me, I give them $20. and teach them how to bet and lose their money.
I love Cable Beach. No shoes, no make-up, no doing my hair, roasting in the sun, the warm clear water, the nap at 4 PM. I know a few of the natives that have dinner with me once in awhile. I'll go alone, or with hubby or friends or just rent a ocean front suite and invite whoever to fly down whenever. No high rises. I don't want to be more than 4 stories up from the sand.
Sometimes I'll walk over to the casino and play blackjack late at night. Once I actually ended up sitting next to the grandson of people who live 3 miles from me! We had never met.
I have traveled enough on business and had to be dressed and coiffed always. When I go to Cable Beach, I am totally relaxed and laid back. I swim
Barbados good, but too many 'horse' people.
I explore some. Swim with dolphins, horseback ride. But mostly, nothing. It's a mind cleanse.

Some friends and I were in Jamaica in the late '80s. There's a reason they tell you to stay at the resorts and away from Kingston.

I like the Gulf. A lot. You haven't been to the right islands and I am not looking for exotic. Far from it.

Oh, Jamacia. No, you don't leave the resort. Haven't been there in decades. And it's getting the same in Mexico.
I'm totally relaxed at Cable Beach.

You and my husband can enjoy that together. You really have to acquire a taste for scotch. I just never did.

I'm sorry. But if you hadn't been a seasoned driver, it would have been worse. I love your stories.

Why is that sad? I swear you have never had a good, memorable time in your life outside of Ohio. I'm not insinuating that you need to be drunk to have a good time, but there's nothing wrong with acting the fool at a resort. I'm an honorary activity assistant every time we travel. Even the kids yell, hey Miss Glitter, when are you getting in the pool? Water volleyball!!!!!!!!

I haven't been to ANY of the islands. I've read reference works and listen to friends and family who have been on cruises, etc., and other than the Caymans, maybe the Turks and Caicos, they all sound like hellholes OUTSIDE the tourist areas. And I like to explore too much to be confined like that.

I like Naples, FL and Ocean City, MD. I want to try the Florida Panhandle and possibly Biloxi, and I have read where to go and not go from those of you who have been, so don't go to a lot of effort, I've already "listened", as it were.
