You people do understand that nothing you say about these boys matters to them? They are a talented group, and they get to perform for an NBA basketball team. If you slander them with petty insults, be they homophobic or location related, then you are immature, and obviously jealous. You people are so insecure of yourselves that you take all your frustrations on high school teenagers. Do you realize how pathetic that is? Grow some self esteem and get out of this horrible area. These boys are. The seniors in the group have all been accepted into wonderful colleges and one is going into the Air Force. Can't you people do something with your lives instead of wasting time calling successful teenagers "faggots?"

I see you really thought hard about your response here. Your knowledge and creativity I that of a genius. Your language skills are deserving of an award only the greatest minds could offer. When you receive your award, tell Paris Hilton I said, "hi."

I'm just one of those rare students who actually support the music program in the school, breaking the stereotype of the uncultured, country, swine.

LMAO...funny thing about those nerdy fellows who sing and play music in high school, while the football jocks are busy pattin' each other on the ayse the nerds are leaving the game with the cheerleaders, the band van and a case of beer......(true story)

Later they end up in a rock n roll band and tour the world meeting more women in a week than most of the high school bullies meet in their lifetime.(also true story)

Funny how things work out.

I agree.
The music teacher is a very talented, cultured woman. She cares about all of those kids and is very passionate about her work, the best there is. She could teach in college, but has chosen to stay in the West schools. We love her and what she brings to our school. Every year she astonishes me in what she can bring out in those kids. They bring things to the Chorus and plays that they did not even know they could achieve because she encourages them to achieve more and more. Culture is nothing to be afraid of at all. When they grow up, I hope they will understand.

Hide your talent under a bushel because you are afraid of being labeled gay and what have you achieved? I have better things to do with my life.

it is simply because they are JEALOUS. the more hate they write on here, the MORE jealous they are. see, they can hide behind a monitor, but they'd never say this to the guys' faces. why? because they are cowardly too. LOL

When I hear anyone sing this beautifully, I get goosebumps. Sounds sappy to some, but it's the way I react when I am moved by music. Go to A West concert, play, or anywhere you can hear them sing. You just might be surprised how you will react. These high school students are very good and the musical arrangements are well done. Their many concerts, done at Christmastime, moves me to tears. Yea, I love music. I am proud of our music program and their teacher, Mrs. Tieman.

I believe that SMOW is an outstanding group, and Mrs. Tieman is an absolutely WONDERFUL director - and no doubt the BEST choir director/teacher around. The arrangement they do for the National Anthem is fantastic!

This is so interesting to read lol. It's been two/three years since I preformed with SMOW really nice to see the people who loved the group. The music program is amazing and Mrs. T is great. I'm proud to have been a part of something to represent the community at one time :). As for the gay comments it was expected, but eh whatever. Peace!
