ALWAYS READ THE LABELS ON THE FOODS YOU BUY--NO MATTER WHAT THE FRONT OF THE BOX OR PACKAGE SAYS, TURN IT OVER AND READ THE BACK---CAREFULLY!
With all the food and pet products now coming from China , it is best to make sure you read label at the grocery store and especially Walmart when buying food products.
Many products no longer show where they were made, only give where the distributor is located.
It is important to read the bar code to track it's origin.
This may be useful to know when grocery shopping, if it's a concern to you.
GREAT WAY TO "BUY USA & CANADA " AND NOT FROM CHINA!!
The whole world is concerned about China-made "black hearted goods".
Can you differentiate which one is made in Taiwan or China ?
If the first 3 digits of the barcode are 690 691 or 692, the product is MADE IN CHINA.
471 is Made in Taiwan ..
This is our right to know, but the government and related departments never educate the
public, therefore we have to RESCUE ourselves.
Nowadays, Chinese businessmen know that consumers do not prefer products "MADE IN CHINA", so they don't show from which country it is made.
However, you may now refer to the barcode - remember if the first 3 digits are:
690-692 ... then it is MADE IN CHINA
00 - 09 ... USA & CANADA
30 - 37 FRANCE
40 - 44 GERMANY
471 ... Taiwan
49 .... JAPAN
50 ... UK
BUY USA & CANADIAN MADE by watching for "0" at the beginning of the number.
We need every boost we can get! Pass this on to everybody on your E-Mail Contact List!!

I looked at a package of light bulbs I just bought for a trailer.
It had: 7|||||92363||||699...||||
(792)
(|= barcode)
Where is this junk made?

I tried to verify this but didn't know it was listed under "country home"
I searched "barcodes decifered"
Thanks!

All foods, under the new labeling system, have to tell country of origin.

Sorry, BB... a good idea undone by a recalcitrant US manufacturing and produce system.

Anywhere. Like buying nails at lowes the boxes would say contents could be from one of the following countries USA, Canada, Mexico, China, Taiwan, Korea, or UAE.

What a cop out! Too bad we can't boycott but just about everything we pick up is made ELSEWHERE!
Inferior products,clothes, foods, etc.

This is incorrect. Processed meats, for example, are not included.

Yeah, I've seen that on quite a bit of products.
Different hallmarks can be found on the same model of tool(usually initials of the countries region).

Maybe the codes that start with 7 mean "Good luck with this piece of sh^t".

Talking meat,pork,fish, beef in general.

Processed meats have many different ingredients, therefore wasn't included what was being discussed.

Ground meat, pork, etc. is also excluded.

That is incorrect. It depends upon the type of food and the location selling it. Not all grocers are forced to comply - butcher shops are excluded, for example.

Sorry for offending but your information wasn't quite accurate.

The above should have read that ground meats (such as beef and pork) are excluded from the labeling requirement.

Oh, no offense taken. With the govt, there's always a million exceptions to the rule.
Lol
