A flat tax is HARDLY fair, you idiot. That's why we have a progressive tax system.
The Board of Education disbanded? Oh yeah..... that will help. Help create a shitstorm mess.
a flat tax is only unfair to those not paying them.

best get busy or be shunned.

I graduated from school prior to the board of education existed.

the shit storm happened after the formation of the board of education, and public unions run amuck brainwashing kids

The democrats aka dumocrats have already created the mess, where have you been? Flat tax is the only way. We need a tax revolt! They cannot do a thing if we all stop paying, can they? Then impeach the entire bunch of losers, starting with the dumocrats! Go back to one day elections, more cost efficient and less fraud, prosecute the IRS employees, and proceed on with the remainder of the clowns. You must pass a basic competency test to run for office as well as work for the federal government and vote. Repeal Obamacare. Replace the Supreme Court members with elected judges. Illegal immigrants have to leave and enter properly. No gay marriage, if you don't like go to Canada or Europe. No spying on US citizens or using the NSA for political gain. Death penalty for drug dealers, pedophiles, rapists, murderers, child, animal or elderly abusers and on and on. You cannot buy a home if you do not have 20% down and you must prove you can pay for it, if you foreclose, never again can you buy a home. No bankruptcy. Federal laws enforced on drugs over state law. The president must enforce the law or be deported or jailed. The president can only take 1 vacation a year at his expense or her expense. The president cannot use the IRS or NSA for political gain, big trouble for him or her. Voter fraud is automatic 25 years in prison, hard labor. Hard labor for all prisons, no televisions or weight rooms. They can read a book every 2 months. Criminals must pay for their own defense or defend themselves. Legal aid abolished. Drug testing for food stamps and welfare. Obamaphones come to an end. Abortions illegal, must have self control or live with it. No college aid. Pay your own way. Enough for now. This gay marriage post is stupid

You're right. For most things, the tax should be per capita.
That's why we have a progressive tax system.
Progressive tax system isn't fair either. The army protects the rich and poor alike, why should one pay more than the other for the same service? If it costs $150 billion to protect 300 million people, each person should pay $500 for that protection. For things that can be metered, each citizen should pay according to their use. Someone who drives 20,000 miles a year should pay twice as much road tax as someone who drives 10,000 miles a year. Some things are a combination of metered and non-metered and should be charged accordingly. The EMS is always on stand-by, and that part of their cost should be shared equally among the people they protect, but when they go on a run, that part of their cost should be charged to who the run is for (many jurisdictions are already doing this).

The store charges the same for the same loaf of bread to everybody. You don't want "fair", you want the same thing someone else got for a cheaper price.

We don't need a federal agency to do what 50 different state agencies are already supposed to be doing. There is A LOT of redundancy in the federal government.

Hey moron, for a marriage license or a divorce you go to the government. It is a contract, then you can get it dissolved. With lawyers and a judge.

Not with Joel Osteen.

No, you shouldn't be adding anything else.

Marriage is contract, a license obtained from the government, not from "Pastor" Ted Haggard's gay porn stash.

Or maybe he wound up having that awful automobile crash today that I predicted for him.

You can still find respite on Kirk Cameron's lap at an xstain dvd convention or in your house of worship of hate, so don't despair yet, Jedediah.

True, you're an outlier in popular culture, at any decent university, in most states, in most Western countries, within all but about two of the Fortune 500 companies...but count your blessings.

You sexually sick bigot.

Marriage is a legal contract. No license = not legally married. You can have 500 church weddings. No license from the state, not legally married.
funny. "Marriage is a legal contract". You don't need a license for all contracts to be legal. But then "no license from the state, not legally married". But marriage isn't defined as a "license" or a "licensed contract". Matter of fact, you might want to steer clear of the legal definition of marriage, it doesn't help you prove your point.

Hey Einstein. How does the government stay out of a legal contract?
I already told you. By not licensing it to give financial benefits. They should only worry about it if the contract is broken. Like a real contract between two parties and not an "adhesion contract" which I think is a good description of a "licensed marriage contract"

wrong. Insurance companies and banks now honor your marriage with reduced premiums and loans. In Ohio anyway, you can't have a legally binding ceremony without the license.

Where does this level of complete ignorance come from? Marriage is a contract. It not only requires one, you don't have one without a license granted by the state, not by some dissembling, probably sexually confused cleric or other.
if its just a contract, what are we whining about? You don't need a license then, right? Its still a legal contract, just not honored as a marriage by the state. The truth is its more than the legal definition. Some believe its a holy union and covenant with god. Some believe it should be two adults and not limited to a man and a woman. For someone who wants to change the legal definition of marriage, you sure cling on to the pats of it you think help your argument.

how does the government staying out of marriage make it a "theocracy"??? How on earth? I'm deranged? You're the one who thinks you need them to be together, not me.
