No church is forced to marry any couple they disapprove of. And many churches choose to marry gay folks.
So, who will be "revolting"?
just wait. We're already threatening to throw somebody in jail because they believe its a sin to bake a cake.

U.S. History FAIL.
At our nation's founding, the framers purposely stipulated that blacks would count only as 3/5 so as to prevent the South from holding the reins of the House of Representatives into perpetuity. They had their eyes on the elimination of slavery from day one.
But please, illumine me as to how immutable race relates to selective sexual behaviors.
The sexual behaviors you refer to have nothing to do with marriage.

woof
If homosexuality is a choice, so is heterosexuality. So why should you get special rights because of your sexual preference?

Slavery has been around since the first tribe conquered its neighbor.
It was an entrenched institution at the founding of this nation...and, unsurprisingly, continues in various parts of our globe even today.
Still, our framers recognized it as contradictory to our moral principles, and in need of gradual abolition.
So is depriving people of equal rights. And it's following the same path (gradual abolition). So there's your similarity.

try to keep up....the federal government is forcing catholic churches pay for birth control for their employees.

birth control is against catholic's beliefs.

and who gave the government the power to license marriage in the 1st place?

they have zero business in marriage, and tax differently for being so.

next time you call someone a dolt, remember this dolt is not as stupid as you.

wrong....you have exactly the same rights as I......period.

You are speaking about extra rights. Keep it real.

Just like women have the right to murder, and you don't.

There you have a legitimate argument about unequal rights, but not with whom you marry by law.

So change the law. My car can be driven with the cruise set at 150 MPH all day long. Raise the speed limit for those with fast cars only while your on your crusade.

Aids, world wide, has always been a 98% straight disease. The reason it was DISCOVERED (meaning that it existed prior to its discovery) in gays here first was because gays were the first ones ran out of their home countries and sough asylum, and that our country's medical technology was more advanced.

Gays marrying do not affect anybody's right to procreate. Try again.

Nope. Straights have the right to marry the person they want to partner with. Gays do not (except in a small, but growing number of states).

And even using your definition, it isn't an extra right in the sense that it won't be a right that you do not also have. So your extra right claim fails all the way around.

Marriage is between a man (male) and a woman (female). Plainly, homosexuals have chosen to reject the concept of traditional marriage, as a same-sex partnership does not meet the basic requirements of marriage. Homosexuals have no right to redefine society's definition simply because they have personally rejected it. And society is not responsible to homosexuals to reorder our naturally-defined world so that their aberrant world seems more acceptable to them.

It's not about rights. Every citizen has the right to enter into marriage.
It's about redefinition. And morally-minded Americans aren't interested.
Just as morally-minded Americans weren't interested in perpetuating slavery.

Future generations deserve better.

Tell me, how does denying same sex couples equal protection of the law to marry negate any of the issues you raise? If anything, allowing same sex marriage promotes monogamy, which would be a start to addressing AIDS. The reality is that you argument is utterly irrelevant to the topic and seems to be an awkwardly constructed attempt to enflame the debate.

Why do you think it wasn't allowed to go to a vote in Massachusetts Lides? Because it would never have passed. Not even today.
Perhaps because fundamental rights are not subject to public opinion.

Read West Virginia State Board of Education v Barnette. The US Supreme Court held that fundamental rights may not be put to a vote. They depend upon the outcome of no elections.

Should I have a vote on your free speech, free exercise of religion, or right to keep and bear arms? Of course not.

In nearly every one of your posts you assert someone as being racist. Are you saying those who do funny things with the same sex could never be a racist? That makes no sense at all. This is another serious problem you have that needs addressing.
Scratch a homophobe, find a racist. And vice versa.

Actually, you rube, social scientists and psychologists have empirically tested that one form of bigotry correlates very strongly with other sorts of bigotries.

Bigots are almost always multi purpose bigots.

Now, I know because you are so stupid and backwards that you won't understand what any of that means. You filth.

You're a liar. A hospital or a university, both of which serve the public and receive government monies in many ways, are not "catholic churches."

You stupid pos.
