If you have a PO Box, I'll send you Chesapeake...no last name, no address. I didn't read The Sorce or Bridge at Andau. Read Hawaii, but it was really long time ago. I did read Texas and the Drifters.

I should reread Lord of the Flies. Read it when I was about 12 years old and it scared the crap out of me.

Ok, I need some clarification. You mean the events in SPACE happened before Apollo 13? Or are you talking about the movie "Apollo 13"? Because if not, you're confused. The spaceflight Apollo 13 happened in 1970.
I dislike sloppy writing.
And I hope you are aware that Michener's historical novels do not take the place of serious histories, and that he took some license with some facts. I do not care for his stuff for that reason.
I misspoke both when I called THE RIGHT STUFF, APOLLO 13 and that SPACE as written prior. I apologized to George immediately upon realizing my error.
I don't care what you dislike.
Michener's character's are ficticious, although I've always thought he based them on persons he heard about from the 'locals' when living in the area he was writing about.
His research will tell you more than any history book.
So, I won't be seeing you at the reunion of the James Michener Fan Club. Tsk, tsk...I was so looking forward.
I'm not arguing this with you. Too much else going on.

We already know you prefer truthiness to facts.

Lol.
The series used to be about revenge and murder of vermin for fun and profit.
The Jason Borne novels are good reading also. Modern version of Mack Bolan.
