Whoever used to be maintaining RepealRomneyCare.com has obviously really let it go,” Maddow said. The website is now abandoned because the effort to overturn Romneycare was abandoned. The program now enjoys massive popularity in the state.

During its implementation phase, however, the program definitely had its issues. In January of 2007, as Gov. Mitt Romney (R) left office, Massachusetts residents began to sign up for their new health insurance policies.

In the first month, only 123 people signed up for the new policies out of the entire state of Massachusetts.

“But, they kept plugging away,” Maddow said, and gradually the numbers began to rise and rise.

“There were definitely glitches along the way,” she said.“The website didn’t work very well at first, they had to keep tweaking the law. They changed certain rules about what benefits had to be covered.”

She continued,“There were a bunch of different fixes they had to do to make it work, but they kept at it.”

The difference between Massachusetts and the national model is that there wasn’t an entire political party and grievance industry rooting for it to fail, she said. It remains to be seen whether the Obama administration and ACA supporters can overcome the massive political effort to make them fail.http://www.rawstory.com/r s/2013/11/15/maddow-think-obam acare-rollout-is-messy-you-sho uld-have-seen-romneycare/

I'd wager Romneycare caters to women, same as Obamacare.

The massive popularity you mention is among women like yourself, who can get their extra medical services subsidized thru the socialized medicine.

Women are known to use medical services at a rate of 150% compared with men.

Obama has admitted publicly that a primary goal of ACA is to procure women the extra medical services they desire at an affordable cost to them where the true cost is shouldered by others.

UGH. Why didn't you quote Limbaugh, too? Now, here's the rest of the story:

"In stark contrast, patients and business owners said the cost of care — as well as the medical bureaucracy — has become an albatross for ordinary people and a drag on the economy.

Myron Miller, principal in the Boston architecture and planning firm Miller Dyer Spears Inc., which has about 40 employees, said the firm’s health premiums have climbed an average of 10 to 20 percent annually for the past decade, nearly tripling over the past six years alone. To compensate, he said, Miller Dyer Spears has moved to health plans with higher deductibles, requiring its employees to contribute more to their insurance.

“The result has been a continued erosion of benefits,” Miller told more than 150 people at the interfaith forum.“The net effect is the firm has fewer resources available to increase employee salaries and bonuses. We’ve reached the limit of our ability to fund the increases.”

Everybody invest in statins, its about to be the law that your doctor has to prescribe them to you if you have a history of high cholesterol levels in your family. Never mind trying to keep it at a safe level with your diet, you have to take these meds by law.

Bad is only going to get worse when the deadline to have health ins by law comes and not even 100,000 have signed up.

Heh, my husband is always fussing after me for voting in US elections that I don't ever see the results of. But like you, I think it's important to continue to vote to dilute the block of less informed, less critically engaged folks back home who continue to vote. At the very least, it lets me feel like I'm making an effort to keep the US nice for when I visit.

I suspect the UK has a cultivated a majority victim class demanding central government privileges, the same ultra-scale crony system as in the US and Israel.

I am also certain that the same types of people leading the victim class in the UK are the same as the leaders in the US and Israel.

It's ironic and a tragedy that the american revolution was fought to decentralize government, to allow the people to escape from UK style central control and tyranny. The US is now degenerated into UK style central control, in defiance of the US constitution.

The US and Israel are now national communes directed by the leaders of the victim cult. The UK has a developing cult that is richly deserved.

Obama wants to create a massive "crisis" with the best health care system in the world based on capitalism and market principles replaced by centralized, Soviet style big government Obamacare.

In the resulting chaos, Obama will seize more and more power.

Obama lied.

Health care died.
