Who Will Support a Republican?

Republicans John Boehner and Mitch McConnell forced the government to shutdown.

As a result, working families will struggle to put food on the table and 800,000 people will be out of work. But Boehner and McConnell will keep getting paid.

If they never received another dime, they will not be hurting. It is time to vote them out. Out of Washington, completely. No lobbists job either.

At least the Grand Mufti in DC didn't have a hand in the government shutdown. GM, not General Motors but Grand Mufti, is so much for America, it would not do anything as detrimental as shutting down America.
GM can thank allah for the Republicans. They are useful for being the blame for GM Oblamer. Works out perfectly, don't you think?
Michelle, spread out my prayer rug so I can thank allah for the Republicans.
Does the Grand Mufti of DC speak Arabic?

Which part of the House of Representatives CR that fully funds the government with 3 exceptions do you disagree with?

The elimination of the tax on medical devices that is forcing jobs overseas and will crate cost increases that will only impact the poor and middle class?

The part about congress having to accept the same insurance that they have imposed on every citizen of the USA except themselves or giving regular citizens the same 1 year delay that Big Business and the Unions have been granted from the ACA by Obama.

With those 3 exceptions the HOR's CR fully funds the government.
Well let's look at the facts...

Some government workers and programs are stopped, yet members of congress still have their health care and checks while holding the American people hostage.

What say you?

It's do as I say, not as I do.....
In my opinion, this is the worst congress in history......and I have been around for a long time.
It's all about power...now they are turning on each other.....what a sad display to the world.....we need a change all around....starting with the head man....
So disappointed...
I'm an Independent....voted both sides......

What has that got to do with my question BR?

You blame the Republicans for the shut down not congress as a whole.

Again the Republicans passed a CR that funded the government in its entirety with 3 caveats.

1. The CR passed by the Republican dominated House of Representatives extends the 1 year waver that Obama granted by executive fiat to Unions, big business etc. to also cover the middle class and the poor.

2. Takes away the ACA exemption that congress voted for themselves and forces Congress to accept the same insurance that they have voted on for everyone else.

3. Eliminates the tax on medical devices which is driving jobs overseas and raising the cost of the devices for those who can least afford to pay even more.(even the Democrats want to do away with this provision).

Which part of the Republican CR are you against?

The House sent notice to the Senate saying they would send up a clean CR if Reid would agree to ending the Congressional Obamacare exemption. Reid refused.
So, booner...who's to blame again?

I hope the people will remember like they did when the Greatest former President alive today. The people voted the Republicans out. Newt resigned. It was great under Clinton. And yet he still had time for a little money business on the side, like Serious Lady once did. Maybe she still does, if she can find someone. Are you a player Eugene?

On another comment page someone called it the "feral" government.

No NSA spying.
No EPA.
No War on Coal.
No Department of Education.
No IRS suppression of political speech.

I'm not seeing much of a downside here.

Does the Department of Education actually run schools? Just another bureaucracy that gets in the way.

Schools are better off responding to directions on the state and local level.

I know for a time they used to say what's in textbooks was driven by what Texas wanted.(I worked for McGraw Hill for a little while.) I don't know if that's still true, but it seems to me that the basics are the basics and you don't need someone in Washington telling people they don't need to teach cursive writing anymore.

The federal Department of Education is a joke. Education belongs to state and local government. We did fine without a federal education bureaucracy before 1979.

Got it!
It should be on state level...but I am pissed that cursive is thrown by the wayside....how stupid is that?
It's like they want to dumb down our kids instead of advance them.
Auuuuurgh!
I have asked a few teachers I know and they said cursive isn't necessary because everyone types now, and it takes up too much time in the curriculum. The REAL REASON IS THAT THEY SPEND MOST OF THE DAY PREPARING THE STUDENTS FOR THESE STUPID TESTS, INSTEAD OF TEACHING THE THREE R's!!!
Well la dee da. People still need to write, sign their name, write letters, thank you notes, documents. It will come to be that we will just make our mark,... A big fat "X" , just like the pirates and illiterates do.
Bull crap on that!

I'm ok.......rant over

I just don't understand people in positions of power. It's like they read something in a book, accept it as fact, and don't even question it. It's like they have no experience doing anything themselves and don't have a clue how things really work.

Your Muslim President is prime example of this phenomenon, though I doubt he even read anything in a book.

I was at an Ohio State game last year. I ordered two Cokes @$5.50 each and two pretzels @$3.50 each. I about freaked out when the kid at the concession stand took out the calculator to figure out what I owed.

LMAO

MY Muslim president?
I don't THINK so!
I find that is the norm today in business. No one can count in their head....or count change....with out a calculator. That my dear is the fault of the schools, when they allowed it in the classrooms. I am totally against that practice. No one seems to think on their own anymore. It's pathetic......
As far as the prices in stadiums...out of the ball park....literally!
BUT people pay it....because they are in the moment....mean while, the rich get richer......

Come on people! you are approaching the subject of states rights when education or anything should be at the federal level. You'll be accused of being racist southerners, you know people who believe in the states rights and accused of all sorts of racism unlike the race lover in the white house with his race loving bride.
Come on now, everything at the federal level including this edumacational dumbing down by the federal system.
People in Columbus and central Ohio talking like Carolinians and Alabamans. Stop it. You'll be accused of hating Oblamer's 1/8th African ancestry and all kinds of prejudices.
Geez, what is this world coming to, Ohioans believing in education being the state's business.
