A LONG HISTORY OF STOPPING PROGRESS: The Koch brothers clearly have a financial stake in blocking reform. Koch Industry oil refineries are major carbon dioxide polluters, and George-Pacific, a Koch Industries timber subsidiary, is one of the largest contributors to the loss of carbon-sink capacity. According to the EPA, Koch Industries is responsible for over 300 oil spills in the U.S. and has leaked three million gallons of crude oil into fisheries and drinking waters. So there are clear business-related reasons why Koch would want to block regulatory enforcement, clean energy, labor, and other reforms. http://www.alternet.org/story/144455/meet_the...

Here is what you do:

Pick up a couple of old used, but functional televisions. They are easy to find, for free.

Set a date, print up the invitations, and schedule a party in the backyard. Bonfire, beer and other beverages, food, whatever floats yer boat.

Get the extension cords and cable ready to hook up to the TVs. Let the party get rolling, and have a contest of any sort to determine who gets to throw the bricks, and when.

Have at it.

http://www.examiner.com/article/report-govern... S&P notes that the shutdown hurt the economy in many different areas.

About $3.1 billion in lost government services, according to the research firm IHS
$152 million per day in lost travel spending, according to the U.S. Travel Association
$76 million per day lost because of National Parks being shut down, according to the National Park Service
$217 million per day in lost federal and contractor wages in the Washington D.C. metropolitan area alone..........I guess this is ok with them while wanting to cut back foodstamps for the working poor. Give me a break!

If you're going to cry about the Koch Brothers, you'd better be able to deal with Soros.
Reader quit. Ran away. Bugged out. Wussed away. She couldn't handle the Zimmerman verdict and her last post was July 13. She is not missed in the least. Neither were you, fake OU woman.
