Amen. Remember the uproar over china with Nancy Reagan? The cost of new china service is a drop in a bucket compared to the expense related to these vacations.
There's no doubt we need SS for our presidents and their families. No doubt we need AF1 for their safe transport. But the lack of mindfulness with the Obamas with using these resources has been utterly astounding, ARROGANT.
Spot on.
And, call me old fashioned, but what kind of parents send 14 and 11 year old girls on trips like this without one of them accompanying them?

Has it ever occurred to you that its quite possible that they indeed did, and the media abided by requests to keep it quiet?

No, because they were adults, and their father was George W. Bush. The media had no problem publishing this:

I sorta thought maybe Granny was going along, but perhaps not? She's still living there, is she not?

Heck, I raised a gaggle of daughters. Absolutely NOT allowed anywhere without parents or a parental approved guardian. Or maybe the SS is also considered "babysitters" too, in order to squeeze the budget a bit further?

I've read different stories over the years from retired Secret Service agents saying how much they resented the babysitting aspects of their jobs. Even when they weren't minors, they had to be kept from putting themselves in bad situations. I recall the children of Johnson, Nixon, Ford and GWB mentioned at different times. As you pointed out, with the twins, it was their attempts to ditch their minders. Apparently that was addressed by their father, in no uncertain terms after 9/11 when the girls finally got a clue about the danger they were courting. Apparently the Secret Service literally broke down the door to Jenna's room in the dorm at UT that morning and carried her down the stairs.

Looky Paco..it took less than 2 hours for this thread of yours to traverse from criticism of the Obama family's excesses to pictures of the drunken bushies, and you're the one who did it!!!

wasn't that fun?

I'm not surprised that a loser like you never let loose in college.
Now, as for daddies, shall we address the current "First Daddy's" use of street drugs in the past?

Like I said, a loser like you wouldn't have known fun at that age if it kicked you in the teeth.
Now, I believe the discussion has turned to Obama's drug use.

You're really not having a very good hour here Paco. The registration requirement is admittedly bullshit, and now this.

My, my, my.

Just a matter of time...the "C" word will be invoked.

If you are not registered, someone else can use the name "Duke for Mayor" and start posting conservative posts.

If that's what you want to believe, by all means, have at it.
You have a strange idea of how a thread is "supposed" to proceed and as for registration, naturally you're held to a different standard...inferiors usually are.

Why do you think I am your "inferior" Paco?

I have a degree, just like you...oh wait...

My degree put me in a position to qualify for taking the bar exam, which I passed on the first try....

You labor for someone else....
I'm self employed.

Gotta be that registration thingy.

Hey idiot, I work in Akron, when Duke for Mayor posts start showing up during my lunch break, you will find out how we felt when Reader's pocket trolls were doing that here a few months ago.

Ask "oliver" about that
