Last night, out of sheer boredom, I flipped back and forth between these two shows, which I had never seen before.

Both. Absolute trash. If this is what the country is watching, we have no hope.

Snooki, a make-up laden, pregnant, but not wed, young woman talked, with many obsenties, about 'pumping and dumping' her breast milk if the test strips she bought registered too much alcohol content for her baby to consume. Whined about how she wanted a bottle of wine immediately following giving birth. Meanwhile her friends partied and drank at another location with obsene language and, eventually a fight between a drunk girl and one of the 'guys.'

Honey Boo Boo is 7. The whole family, 4 girls, one with an infant on her hip, which I couldn't figure out who it belonged to, the mother and father, were obsene, rude, brats and talked to eachother and their parents terribly. Of course, the father didn't have a job and all but the father were obese and disrespectful. And they're hitting eachother.

I urge you all to look at these shows and reach your own conculsion. I felt like crying.

If this is what other countries are viewing and thinking this is normal America, no wonder we are constantly losing respect.

Now I love Duck Dynasty with the Robertson family. Hysterical. But never a curse word and every episode ends with the family together and a prayer. Swamp People is good too.

This is really disgraceful entertainment, and I use the term loosely. No wonder our young people, overall, have such low morals and no sense of direction or respect.

Please watch what your children are watching.

Never saw that either. I know these two shows are pure trash and doesn't leave me much hope for society if this is what they call entertainment.

There was not one character in either that you would want your child to learn ANYTHING from.

The baby momma is Honey Boo-Boo's teenage sister, with never a mention of who's yo daddy? Why is Snooki pumping breast milk if she's preggo? I'd gladly help her with that chore.

Hey, Spookerini. Had to watch Justified. Many more moral lessons than Honey Boo Boo or Snooki.:-)

Snooki is WAY pregnant by Jwow wow. Her boobs are huge. She was picking out baby shower gifts with her mother and made sure to put alcohol test strips for breast milk on her list so she can 'pump and dump' if the milk has too high a alcohol content for the baby. Guess if it's too high, the baby will just starve. Also whining about how badly she wants a bottle of wine in the delivery room.

I figured the baby was the teenage daughter's. How much government assistance you think is going into Boo Boo's house? There are four daughters that have no chance in life and the nation makes it a top, hit TV show.

Waaaa I want the CLeavers back....and that one with the teenager singer...Ricky Nelson. They never told their parents to fu$k themselves.

It was reported over the weekend that the mother is directing the childrens' earnings into trusts...untouchable until age 21.

Gotta give credit where credit is due...though the ages of 25 or 30 would be preferable, in my opinion.

Might have been a term of the contract. May be an actual law after so many child stars were robbed by their parents.

Tip, you are completely right. 21 is to young to inherit. I don't have children, but my niece and nephew's score from my death are directed into a trust until they are 31. Withdrawals can be made for education, health, or to help buy an affordable home, with approval of the trustees. And I made darn sure my attorney is one of the trustees. They are really good kids, but you never know who will try and weedle something out of them. Not that it would be a fortune. And they will inherit some 'real property.'

I was a disaster with $ at 21. Good thing I never had a substancial amount. And my parents had taught me well.

I've warned everyone I do not spell well. Nothing wrong with my grammer and as far as taxes, I'm far from ignorant. Do I know the entire tax code? No one does, including all the treasury secretaries combined over the last 50 years. Our tax code is a joke.

And that is the national tragedy of this. I look at 4 year olds with their 'baby mommas', and know in 10 years they'll be more interested in their tattoos and fake fingernails than school and won't aspire to anything more than getting assistance.
They don't have a chance.The boys? They'll have a juvenile record by age 15.
To make a TV show and 'role models' of these parents is obsene.

Sorry, but the Cleavers were no more a realistic representation of the typical American family anymore than is Honey Boo Boo.

By the way, if you detest these shows so strongly don't tune in. If enough people stop tuning in, they will go away.

Also, on the topic of Govermnment assistance. The family on Honey Boo Boo is your typical Republican voting rednecks.

If you read my original post, you would learn I don't tune into. For the first time I flipped back and forth between the two late at night, out of boredom. I was replused.
You're right, people should stop watching and talk shows should stop having them on as 'guests.' If the popularity falls off, so will the advertisers.
I doubt the Boo Boo family votes and I sure would like to hear Snooki's answers to a few political questions.

Oh noooo! And you thought only the blacks lived and behave uncivilized. Read Charles Murray's new book: COMING APART. This type of lifestyle is more widespread in Appalachia then you think, and only amount many urban white families. But, hey, it's Obama's fault, right!
