Keep the focus on diversity and understand what the outcome is. More confusion and less concensus. Focus on being an American only. The rest of who you are in the political arena and business world shouldn't matter, unless of course, you are demanding the attention and as many resources as possible be tossed into your "special interests." It gets tiring very fast when one needs to cowtow to someone's sensitive interests instead of the bigger picture of how to actually run a business, do a job, or run this country. You're a big girl. Go out there and get them with your brains, not your whining.
The country was built by folks with diverse backrounds, but a common goal. And that was a good thing. A common goal and hard work dispensed with the diversity.

Now diversity has been modified into 'miniority' and all kinds of special treatment and benefits for 'miniorities.' That has, and is, building a wall and resentment.

I am the first one to tell you I highly, and loudly, resent the fact that my white male husband or nephew's company bids on any federal job against any minority owned company that automatically gets a 25% discount off of their bid because of their minority status. That is BS.

Which has nothing to do with women and guns.

I didn't say I wouldn't own a gun, just not target shoot. My aim is bad. Years ago, a friend of mine took me skeet shooting. I was the laughing stock for a day. The female counterpart to Mr. Magoo.

1100 bills in 2 years isn't BS. It's attacks against 1 group. It cost them the election.
A friend & I did a thread on some of the things before the election.
http://www.topix.com/forum/columbus/TQB50LH6F...
Rather than me go to the trouble of rewording it I'll just cut & paste something a friend did a couple days ago on the same subject ~~
Since the election along with continuing to attack fair pay laws, the pill, abortion, and other elements of our rights, these four things caught my attention.
Guess what? Since the election still another Republican leader has said we cannot become pregnant from rape. I thought we had cleared that up? I guess not.
Second, the Republican Party is even seeking to ban breasts, make it a felony. The Republicans in North Carolina have submitted a bill which would make it illegal for a woman to show her breasts (excluding breastfeeding). What is totally crazy about it is it will be a 'felony' for even a first offense. By North Carolina laws theft under $1000, various types of assault, and many other real crimes are only misdemeanors. But showing nipples ..... a felony with real jail time. Are Republicans this afraid of women's breasts?
The bill says it would be a crime to show 'the nipple, or any portion of the areola, of the human female breast'. Maybe I missed something in biology class but don't guys also have nipples?
Bring back the days of the religious-extremist puritans, huh?
I count this as still another attack on women by the religious drumbeaters which have taken over the Republican Party.
Third, is how Conservatives have very vocally opposed women filling combat roles in time of war.
Fourth. A New Mexico Republican bill would criminalize abortions after rape ..... get this one ..... as 'Tampering With Evidence'.
It would legally require rape victims to carry their pregnancies to term in order to use the fetus as evidence for a rape trial.
The bill would add this as a new section to the law covering tampering with evidence .....
"Tampering with evidence shall include procuring or facilitating an abortion, or compelling or coercing another to obtain an abortion, of a fetus that is the result of criminal sexual penetration or incest with the intent to destroy evidence of the crime."
Notice also there is 'no' exclusion for children impregnated by rape or incest, or for pregnancies which could for health reasons endanger the life of the rape victim.
This is a deceitful way of bypassing a US Supreme Court ruling.
I remember that thread. The bobble head doll and you, right? It was a yawn too. And all of your 'information above', is misleading at best.

Agreed. The entire segmentation of our population only increases the balkanization that we are seeing in this country I think. And yes, I think there's a tendency of the US being balkanized right now.

Even though you were no good at skeet I suggest a shotgun. Benneli has low recoil. Look for a m1 tactical or even a nova pump. Just point at the obama voter and let the "00" buck shot flying

You have to (at least I do) keep both eyes wide open when shooting. I close either eye, and the target moves by 4'. I can't remember what they call that.

Part of the problem. I have seriously distorted eyesight,-700 in the left eye,-300 in the right. Add to that a serious astigmatism in the left and I'm hosed. Can correct with lenses to near 20/20, but it takes time for me to focus. Critical when target shooting. But can't say it wasn't fun.

You are 100% right.

Liberals will not admit that Adam Lanza was gay just like they won't admit that Jerry Sandusky was a closet homosexual. Just look at all the chaos that comes from that lifestyle choice.

Maybe that's why the two women don't do the fighting? Or is it cause he doesn't see it? Or are the two girlfriends called "Right Hand" and "Left Hand?"

but they jump all over him being a white male and his mother owning many firearms.
If you are attracted to the same sex, you're gay. If you own a firearm, you're a gun owner. If you were born with only male sex organs, you're a male. If you go to church, you're "religous". And if you kill somebody you're a murderer.
If every opressed homosexual went on a shooting rampage we would be in deep shit.

Having been around guns all my life, they are not a big deal to me.
Last week I bought myself a new revolver, something special for me, for target practice. I have been amazed at what I have heard from the women I have mentioned it to! Some family members. Found out my 10 year old niece can shoot a pretty tight little circle in that target.
Almost to the woman, they are already armed and trained. And I am talking 44's, Glocks, Lugars...you name it. All hand guns. And they know what they're talking about. My assistant blew me away when she went out to her car and brought her's in to show me.
The broker asked me was I looking for protection, and I told him, no. I'm not afraid, and if I was, a big old double barrel shotgun would be what I'd grab.
And of course, then two 20'something girls came in and bought bright pink pistols.(rolling my eyes)
Have women been quietly arming themselves the last two decades and just not talking about it?
You, for one, have clearly never done anything without talking about it.
