VOTE NO.

They have no concrete plan for how this new money will be spent. They have not earned your trust by spending responsibly and accounting for their attendance honestly and accurately.

They do not need or deserve a funding increase.

I think most school systems drain the taxpayers for frivolous projects.
In my area, they put a fountain and walkway path leading to the stadium.
They moved the library to a location not easily accessed, much to the dismay of taxpayers.
They finally condensed the three library's in the highschool to one. Why would any school need three different libraries?
They replaced the gym floor...which didn't need replaced.
I will never vote for a school levy and or library levy again. I just wish they would get to work on teaching instead of wasting monies from taxpayers.
This country is so behind in academics compared to other countries.
Why????

Best thing to do would be to just close the entire Columbus Public Schools, get rid of Coleman and the entire City Council. Move all of the residents to Detroit, free of charge and turn Columbus into farm land! Make the Columbus area productive, again!

I think the final nail in the coffin came when it leaked out that the district plans to buy iPads for every student.

When they allowed calculators in the classrooms, that was the downfall, of students not using their brain...now iPads?
I guess many schools use them.....
God help us all...is there no end to this lunacy?

Naturally, in Columbus the school tools won't learn from this:

The L.A. schools' iPad misadventure is looking a lot more expensive
http://www.latimes.com/business/hiltzik/la-fi...

So, frankly, it shouldn’t have come as much of a shock when a few hundred of the tech-drenched children of Los Angeles figured out how to “hack” the $678 iPads they were given by their school district, just one month into the new school year.

In recent weeks, Los Angeles distributed iPads to 50,000 students in the public school system as part of a pilot for a $1 billion citywide initiative. Kids at Westchester High, one of the few schools that allowed students to take their tablets home, quickly noted that they could bypass the district-installed security filter with two clicks, allowing them to access banned sites like YouTube and Facebook.

The "Dropout Factories" would be better off putting lessons on Youtube & Facebook.

You would think from past experiences,(that these projects are always abused ), the educators would have brains enough to know that it wouldn't work. Why don't they use their education to teaching? Technology has proved to be a bitter/sweet tool.
Hope all is well with you!

These liars already have a $50 million dollar projected surplus, despite Coleman's lies about a $19 million dollar deficit.

Obama Junior, Coleman is telling lie after lie,
and he only wants more and more cash for the greedy hogs feeding from the government trough.

Look for Coleman's 40,000 Somalis, ghetto and illegals to all support this outrageous government theft.

Coleman has been in office so long that he is following in the steps of Marion Berry and Charley Rangel.
