Yes, it is snowing again. Looks like 1/4 inch. I'm going back to bed. I'll dig out later.

It seems that all the districts but Columbus City Schools closed today. Why is that? I'm thinking an early release is coming our way today. Or maybe Ms. Harris will shut the schools down tomorrow.

How could Columbus drop the ball on this? They can't even make good decisions for weather closings. What makes anybody think they make good financial decisions? Please stop passing every levy Gene begs for!!!

Another Columbus blizzard! Nothing to do today but sit inside and watch "An Inconvenient Truth" on DVD! This is the same party that now wants to take charge of your health care...

My street is an absolute mess. I have yet to see even a salt truck which would have done wonders. Now we are starting over. Contrary to popular opinion, people on the hilltop do have to get to work.

There may not be a lot of snow out there at this moment (8:15) but the snow on top of the ice is very slippery! There were spin-outs all over town on my way to school this morning. The fact that CCS is willing to risk the lives of their teachers and students stuns me!

i can't believe columbus schools are open. now i will have to leave work early to pick up my son who is in elementary school. now, they don't ever dismiss elementary early, but if it is bad out like last friday? i have no choice but to get him. this school district needs new decision makers. not only at the top, but on every level. i am sick of columbus schools.

Grandview and Bexley are open too. However students walk to school in those districts so they rarely close

Others people go to work when it snows. Why not teachers? Cancel because it is unsafe for the buses and the children, but come on. Businesses rarely close - and they are not accused of risking their employees' lives.

I agree with you. It should focus on the safety of our children and riding the bus in this type of weather is not safe. The law for my children to ride in my car is they have to be in carseats and in seatbelts but the bus dont have any type of protection for the children. Gene Harris needs to retire and let someone else lead the district, just one more not so smart decision she has made this school year.

I am stuck down in San Antonio TX. Hate to be here since I have so much to do back in cow town. Love the 61 degree temps and the fact my wife is here. Anybody want to shovel my driveway? I will of course be more than willing to pay you the $5.00 fee lol. I will try to bring some of the heat back.

The rest of the working world has to go to work in the snow. Why should teachers be any different? Why is it OK for me to go out in the snow to get to work, but not you? I'm so sick of teachers thinking that they're so special!
