The Haugland Learning Center is a private school for children with autism. They have branches in Columbus, Lancaster, Irontom, and previously Portsmouth. I've been told they will just lay people off through email and stop paying them immediately. Supposedly, they shut down their Portsmouth branch on a Monday morning and their employees received no severance and were only paid for that day. These employees are on salary! They also aren't signing the necessary paperwork for these employees' unemployment claims. For this to be a school that has so much heart for these children and families affected by autism, how could you be so callous with your compassionate and dedicated employees? Seems they are putting on quite a show. I'm thinking they're not running a very good business.
