Obama Administration Says Anti-Muslim ‘Hate Speech’ Can be Punished

by Warner Todd Huston

In May, one of Obama’s U.S. attorneys in Tennessee said that Americans who spoke against Islam could be prosecuted.

Bill Killian, U.S. attorney for the Eastern District of Tennessee, said that inflammatory material against Islam might be a violation of federal civil rights laws. Such a violation could bring the federal government down on those opposing Islam here in the US.

As reported by The Tullahoma News, Killian and the FBI’s Kenneth Moore hosted a “Public Disclosure in a Diverse Society” to “help” the community learn how anti-Islam speech could land an American before authorities.

“This is an educational effort with civil rights laws as they play into freedom of religion and exercising freedom of religion,” Killian told the paper.“This is also to inform the public what federal laws are in effect and what the consequences are.”

Killian talked of how some Muslims are innocent of terror and that terrorism is committed by only a small number of Muslims. Then he illegitimately invoked the 1995 bombing of the Murrah Federal Building in Oklahoma City.

To link Muslim-perpetrated terror to the bombing by Timothy McVeigh is simply illegitimate. Killian mentioned the two in the same breath as if they are one and the same but McVeigh did not perpetrate his act of domestic terror in the name of any religion. So, to link McVeigh to Islamonazi terror like Killian did is just not legitimate.

In fact, McVeigh, though raised a Catholic, insisted that he was agnostic. He had no religion at all.

But Killian absurdly made the connection saying,“Timothy McVeigh and Terry Nichols were both Christians.”

Killian is a lair. Plain and simple.

Regardless, Killian said that things posted in the Internet that denigrated Islam are subject to federal jurisdiction.

So, what do you folks think? Should we be afraid that Obama’s government will come down on us for speaking against Islam?

Have we lost our last shreds of freedom of speech in America?

denigrate-to speak damagingly of; sully or defame. To normal people in a normal society, telling the truth would not be denigrating but we certainly are not living amongst normal people in a normal society. Hussein baraq o bamah and supporters are certainly not normal people, so like the abnormal governments of Nazi Germany and Soviet Union of last century, I would put nothing past these abnormal people.
We have not lost our last shreds of freedom of speech in America but there isn't any freedom of speech or anything else in the USSA which is being superimposed over the USA.
I think eventually o bamah's government will come down on us for speaking against his religion but I don't know if he will attempt it yet. If not now, it's not far off in the future.
It's not a case at the present of having lost anything completely but it's in the process. I would compare the present relationship between the USA, Constitutional America, and the USSA, as a tug of war between the opposing ideologies which will eventually lead to either a peaceful balkanisation or a violent balkanisation and which one depends upon the DCers.

I bet none of you read the actual article that the blog entry purports to be summarizing. The blog is an hysterical quantum leap in logic from the information contained in the article. You people are a riot.

That would require two extra clicks of the mouse, as well as reading comprehension skills and a brain that is not permanently set on "Bigot".
