Texas Abortion Restrictions Declared Unconstitutional By Federal Judge

AUSTIN, Texas -- AUSTIN, Texas (AP) A federal judge has determined that new Texas abortion restrictions violate the U.S. Constitution, a ruling that keeps open at least for now dozens of abortion clinics that were set to halt operations Tuesday had the law taken effect.

In a decision released Monday that the state is certain to appeal, District Judge Lee Yeakel wrote that the regulations requiring doctors to have admitting privileges at a nearby hospital creates an undue obstacle to women seeking an abortion.
==========

There's just so much to say about how hypocritical it is that the small government righties have absolutely ZERO problem witht he government tellling a woman what to do with her body. Or for that matter, having govenrment interfere at all with healthcare, which they're rallying agains in force with Affordable Care Act.

Sorry, thugs. You lose again and it is again proven in court that you are on the wrong side of history. Sit on it!

It is rather odd that people would celebrate the right to kill a baby. Just goes to show you how sick this country really is!

Gosh, it's almost as if all the legal advisors says this wouldn't stand up to legal scrutiny and that it would be a massive waste of taxpayer funds were on to something...

What's really odd is that despite your faux horror at the prospect of women legally aborting fetuses, you seem to not want to help feed those unwanted babies once they pop out of the womb.

Whats up with that?

without lack of morality in society, there is lack of billed hours for lawyers.

the more unmoral behavior that can be promoted, the better it is for lawyers to bill lots of hours.

society loses because it is forced to pay everything for the unmorality in every way.

Lawyers should be disqualified from serving in Congress and White House.
10% of nations entire expenditures are legal teams payment for blurring the lines and covering up.

Exactly what I mean, people are crazy, killing innocent children. There are birth control pills and other methods without suctioning out babies. Guess some people enjoy it.

I actually wonder something similar. Why don't states put the cash into increasing access to and lowering the cost of birth control, rather than dumping it into legislation they know is likely to be overturned?

Spending money on something constructive that's going to take down the numbers seems so much easier than spending it on paper, lawyers and bickering.

Its because they mistakenly thumped themselves in their own heads with their own Bibles.

Poor aim.

Maybe you should do to him what you suggested be done to Justice Kennedy.

Remember that day, Paco? That was one of those days you had to find a new name.
