Why don't these guys from the Dispatch get a job with Espin? Two days of the same story, get a life!

Why does the dispatch (doesn't deserve capitalization) continue to dwell on old news? Now you have to go back 3 years and revisit an issue that has been resolved? If you were any kind of investigators you would find out which QB has the inside track to start, what will the starting RB rotation be for the first five games? How will Coach Vrabel impact the defense? Will Luke open up the offense? Perhaps no one at the Woody will talk you you morons any longer. Serves you right. Take a lesson from ESPIN: Don't bite the hand that feeds you.

Funny how when Paul Aker from WBNS1o TV ran a story about the athletic department paying Auto Direct for car repairs for a certain player, none of you had anything to say about that situation.

Herbie MUST be unbiased and at times he does go a little overboard with it but you are a moron if you think he still doesn't bleed scarlett and grey. Stop crying about Herbie. I have no issue with Herbstreit's journalism - he is one of the best analysts on TV and he was correct about St. Jim when I was still drinking the Kool-Aid. However, I live in the same community that Herbie did and no one I know truly believes that he was harassed at grocery stores to the point that he had to move to Tennessee. He had been in trouble with the IRS with tax deductions on his house and there have been unproven rumors about infidelity. Even if he was harassed on occasion, it was by a very small minority of Buckeye Nation. Only Kirk knows why he truly left but it is highly unlikely it was due to harassment and for someone who "bleeds scarlet and gray" he had to know how using that excuse would sully Buckeye Nation nationally. Instead of doing the right thing, he threw the entire Buckeye Nation under the bus. My online name comes from what my high school age son and his friends call him - Judas Herbstreit - not because he doesn't bleed scarlet and gray but because he threw our community and all of Buckeye Nation under the bus to cover his real motives to move to Tennessee. He is another hypocrite who has no right to criticize Tressel based on his actions in this instance.

This is just another in the ever growing list of OSU football stories that really add nothing to the current NCAA investigation of the OSU football program. I guess it is news because so many of us are interested in anything pertaining to OSU football. Step back and take a deep breath. Is this revelation really surprising to anyone? If you can recall all of the hubbub surrounding the frenzy to recruit Terrelle Pryor four years ago, how can you not believe the winner of the TP sweepstakes would be investigated for improper inducements, etc. Everyone wanted the kid so bad, they would do whatever it took to get him. There was an NCAA investigation. The NCAA did not find any irregularities in his recruitment by OSU. Nowhere else to go with the story. Case closed. Old, irrelevant news but in today's OSU witch hunt environment, any news is fair game. Now we get to wait until next Friday for the next Dispatch investigative news scoop. Pardon me if I don't hold my breath waiting for next Friday's revelation/news scoop by the the Dispatch I-Team. YAWN!!!

Another scene in the OSU Tatoo 5 escapade is starting! How many more scenes will be in this play? WEll, stay tuned to find out. Heck, I thought we cheated here a lot in the SEC, but Tressel and OSU make us look like angles. You guys are so dirty and know it is finally getting exposed!

Run a story on the Browns, Reds, etc and you are lucky to get 7 hits! No one forces you to read these articles on OSU.

It looks like the scent of blood in the water is growing very faint indeed. Can hardly wait for the next Friday news scoop du jour. YAWN!!

let's keep beating this dead horse so someone can get their Pulitzer. Here's a hot tip; Pryor got an extra napkin with his Whopper combo at Burger King. He accepted it and told all his friends to go there. Tressel may have known, but didn't tell anyone.

Death Penalty For OSU wrote: NCAA, enough already. The NCAA now has a rare second chance to slam these ohio ****, and it will. BTW, if Tressel was so "scared" or concerned for the TAT 6, did he bother to call or email the other 5 players parents or mentors? BTW, once Tressel realized 6 or 7 weeks after the federal investigation did not involve the TAT 6, the reason he was scared, why then did Tressel not report to the ohio slime compliance? Not only is ohio slime an NCAA repeat offender, but the NCAA gets to nail ohio scum for Sarniak again. Thank you ESPN, cannot wait for all the information to expose these dirty ohio cheating ****. How naive are you? How biased are you? How full of hate and jealousy are you? You seem to believe that only 4.0 students from upper middle class families should be allowed to play major college football. The circus that surrounded the recruitment of Pryor (and that surrounds the recruitment of most top recruits) is unfortunate. But, if you want to compete on the field, you need to offer opportunities to some of the students from rougher backgrounds and work hard to try to help them to mature. Tressel is not alone in taking chances on players and working hard to help them grow up. How else do you explain Tressel remaining in contact with Pryor after both parted way with tOSU. Tressel is actually committed to seeing Pryor make something of his life. Sad that your intense hatred of all things Buckeye keep you from recognizing the human element here. Oh well...your loss. Speaking of losses...2807. Go Bucks!!!

Is this what all the digging has found? It would seem that SEC fans are having a good laugh at our expense. They (Auburn, Alabama,...) give cash payments (Newton) and we get tattoos. Nice work NCAA! We lost a great person and coach over NCAA hypocrisy!

Stuck in the Stone Age wrote: Sarniak was a mentor to Pryor just like Delimutti was a mentor for Clarett. And I bet there are similar mentor-athlete relationships of other Tressel football players, whether in Columbus or Youngstown, if the media, NCAA, and FBI dig further. For those claiming Tressel was worried about protecting his players from criminal elements, puzzling that it has been such a problem for him but not Cooper or Bruce or Hayes, etc. And if he was so worried about such bad influen didn't he, for example, do more to protect his YSU players from the Youngstown mafia who were to quote one former Penguin gridder, "heavily enmeshed with the team"? Tressel knowingly engaged, condoned, and benefited from these untoward relationships, and is anything but a saint (wrapping himself in religion, volunteer work, blah, blah...he's still not a good person, nor someone who should be in the position to mold people). And TOSU led by Andy Geiger knowingly overlooked these things and now, has what it has. Lets hope the program can recover..... Are you kidding? This is rubbish! Any knucklehead can make ignorant accusations. Are you a writer for Sports Illustrated?
