<quoted text> a lot of people jeer at the concept of good and evil, doing as they please without any regard to how it effects others. They "tell themselves" what is right and wrong and it is usually based on self gain or the need to feel dominate over other people or some other form of selfishness. But a lot of so called "religious" people are exactly that. I'm agnostic and people say that's the easy way out. For some reason I think atheists would label us that way more than any other group.
As a Christian, I can respect agnostics. They are open to possibilities. Personally, I think that truly religious people are far more agnostic than they are typically portrayed.

Religious belief is, or ought to be, a journey of exploration.

thanks. I always thought athiests act just like the zealots they hate. And not all religious people want to force their beliefs on others but I've never met an athiest who doesn't. Its freedom of religion not freedom from. So what if the witnesses go door to door, so does acorn. Lol.

The Father, The Son, and the Holy Spirit make up the Holy Trinity, but are different entities.

They are not the same.

Not according to the bible and the trinity doctrine. The entities by themselves are meaningless (Outside of God) but in Jesus and the holey spirit, God manifests himself from within creating the same. This is specifically why I mentioned the trinity thing.

I have known atheists who have no desire to force their beliefs on others, nor could they be considered zealots.

They have simply arrived at a conclusion. It is not the same one that I have reached and I certainly pray for their greater enlightenment. But I would not say that they all fit in the same box any more thqan all believers do.

<quoted text> I'm not the one talking down my nose to people in a snarky ATTEMPT at humor. I'm not upset, its funny really. Go on, tell us all what god really thinks of us duke. Everybody anticipates what the all knowing profit is going to foretell next. Maybe instead of being a pompous tool that can be totally predicted in what he's going to post, hell give away the bush secret baked bean recipe. Only that dog is a golden and you're a rat .
This "all knowing profit" predicts that one day, you may reach enlightenment, enabling you to choose your words more appropriately.

God told me he occasionally makes little mistakes. Arthritis, noxious fumes, and rabies for instance. He mentioned Karl Rove too. He didn't say anything directly about you though.

Jesus said...

"No one can enter the Kingdom of Heaven, but through me..."

Not the Father, not the Holy Spirit.
The Trinity is one, but they all are different and serve different purposes.

Do you obey the sayings of Jesus? If not why not?

I try to as much as possible...

I'm human and I've strayed from the righteous path more than once and will probably do it again.
I'm not "Christ-like" like these fake Bible thumpers claim to be as the say to the world they are "Christian" and sin more than the devil himself.

I follow the Word, but I'm no saint and I don't claim to be.

If you knew your bible, you would know that the only difference in purpose is the covenant to which God has made with the people at the times. They are the same and just manifestations of the same.

If I knew my Bible...LOL!

The Father sent his Son to destroy the sins of the world, because God showed mercy on us, not the Son...As the Lamb of God lay dying on the cross, he screamed "Father, why hast thou forsaken me!" Also "Forgive them Father, for they know not what they do..."

So, he was talking to himself? A child could see the error in your statement.

In Heaven, The Lamb of God is seated at the right hand of the Father, which by all accounts is Jesus, The Alpha and Omega.

Without the Father, there is no Alpha or Omega.

Try again.

I see you have not studied you religion. The lamb of god is not a god in and of itself. He is a vessel in which God works through and speaks with. It was God setting forth his final covenant with the humans. Nice try though.

Here's an atheist who only goes off on your religion when you get in my face about it. Don't bring it up and you'll never hear the subject out of my lips.

If prayer and believing your book and your god works for you, that's great. It doesn't for me, and if you respect my belief I will respect yours.

LOL!

"Lamb of God, who takes away the sins of the world, have mercy on us..."

This is an absolute prayer said in unison in EVERY Catholic Church.

I spent most of my childhood as an alter boy and studying religion in Catholic school...I also attended a Catholic university...Which gives me well over 20 years of religion classes...I've served with Monsignors and Bishops.
