All I see from you is snarky conclusions.

What specifically in that article do you think is untrue?

ROFLMAO.

Atlanta's current Democrat mayor, the most recent in a line of black mayors reaching back to 1973...courtesy of Atlanta's black majority.

But, I did...from what I could read through my hysterical tears.
Bottom line: Atlanta's black majority does not support light rail.

Good lord...once the baiters thrown down the race card, you'll follow 'em anywhere.
Thanks for demonstrating how it is that incompetent Barack Hussein Obama was elected.

FTA:

"Exhibit A here is the failure in 2012 of a massive $7.2 billion transportation initiative, which would have paid for sorely needed regional highway improvements and funneled $600 million into the Atlanta Beltline, an innovative proposal to link neighborhoods in the city by light rail, using 22 miles of abandoned cargo lines left over from Atlanta’s heyday as a railroad hub. To which the voters of the metropolitan Atlanta area said: Hell, no."

Do some reading about Atlanta and the metropolitan area surrounding it.

With every single post on this subject, you make your ignorance more apparent.

You're right; a plethora of info exists, all of which confirms:

"Atlanta also far surpassed other metropolitan areas in its black population gain during the 2000s. Its large middle-class black population, along with its diversified and growing economy, provided a continued draw for African Americans from across the country. Nine of the top 10 metro areas for black population gains from 2000 to 2008 are located in the South, including the three "New South" areas of Charlotte, Orlando, and Tampa. These regions are attracting more highly-educated blacks, including those from northern destinations. Washington, D.C., Atlanta, and Dallas rank sixth, ninth, and 25th, respectively, on the share of black adults with a bachelor's degree, whereas Philadelphia and Detroit rank, respectively, 59th and 79th."

"The latest estimates show that the Atlanta metropolitan area increased by more than half a million blacks over the last decade to about 1.7 million, making it the metro area with the second-largest black population.

'It's no coincidence that the shift is happening as we encounter economic turmoil that is being felt disproportionately among blacks, such as mortgage foreclosures, loss of jobs and economic devastation in major Northern hubs,' said Hilary Shelton, director of the NAACP's Washington bureau.

'With major changes and less racial devastation in the South, people are finding their way back.'"

"Less racial devastation."
Hmm.

Well, these educated blacks returning South had better get their mayors in line before economic devastation occurs.

In fact, that's likely why Atlanta voters said, "Hell, no," to their mayor's enormous spending proposal.

Hey...wonder if Big Spender Coleman attended this conference...LOL.
Say...wonder if there's a White Mayor's Conference?
