"Hagan said it was clear that Republican leaders were playing politics with the issue by not only refusing to delay the start, but also by killing an amendment that would have given Charles three months to complete the probe." I'm glad Dann is gone and Betty Montgomery should now be the AG. But this Hagan is a jerk. The Republicans were the only ones NOT playing politics. They were carefully looking into articles of impeachment instead of drafting a bogus, trumped-up barely literate version like the Democrats proposed. It was the dems who threw him out of their own party BEFORE an independant investigation was done. Eaten by his own in the biggest rush to judgment ever.

Good bye to bad rubbish. Marc Daffy Dann had to go. He was an embarrA$$ment to the voters of Ohio who elected him to the AG office. It will be interesting to see what comes out in the IG investigation and the FBI gambling investigation. What a wrthless piece of AG sh!t he turned out to be.

They will probably hide any corruption. They don't want to hurt the democratic party's image.

This is the right thing. Dann should have stepped down in the beginnin'. Strickland can finally chalk sumthin' up in the plus column, durin' his term in office. Too bad he can't approach the school fundin' problem with the same vigor. It was a nice touch for one of the moron demoncritters to point a finger at the republicans. Apparently he didn't get Strickland's message that the demoncritter party wanted to respond strongly and forcefully in taking steps to clean their own house.

I am so disappointed, ruined 7 fingers downloading an application to work in his office. Well I guess the party office will sprout up somewhere in the near future. I wonder who gets to play Dann in the Lifetime movie?

NO DEAL (slam!) Only the tip of the state's iceberg of political contamination, no doubt. Unfortunately, subsequent purges probably won't trickle down as deep as Akron. Large trash pick-up time. Put 'em all out on the curb, I say.

It was the dems who threw him out of their own party BEFORE an independant investigation was done. Eaten by his own in the biggest rush to judgment ever. Rush to judgment? Hardly. But since you're not that smart to think FAIRLY, all you need to do is to go back to Dann's own inauguration when he said: "The effort to eliminate corruption will continue in my own office where my staff and I will adopt and adhere to the highest possible ethical standards. I will then work with other officeholders, both Democrat and Republican, to extend those standards to every arm of the state and every community in Ohio. And, importantly, I will never hesitate to take immediate action if I learn those standards have been violated or the public trust has been abused by any public official of any party." It appeared his own words didn't apply to him. Plus, since you don't seem to pay attention, another investigation just recently FOUND that there were sexual harrassment going on in his office. There were ACTUAL FINDINGS in this investigation. You've been schooled.

I wonder what kind of job Dan's buddies will give him. Economic hardship, right. Think of all of the Ohio people who are in real economic hardship.
Dan should have been saving some of those thousands of dollars he made. Do you think it is possible for him to get unemployment?

Good luck finding a candidate who has never cheated on his wife or exercised poor judgment to help a friend. Dann was doing a good job (which is really all that matters) and should have remained in his role of AG after coming clean and relieving his friends of their duties. Admittedly, he should have appointed a strong “office manager” at the start of his term, as that obviously was a weakness of his. It is no wonder that we are left with 3 so "questionable” candidates for President. What successful and moral/ethical person would want to enter politics today?

Does anyone know what specifically the investigation is looking for? Is it sexual harassment or something else. Dann, as well as a few others sure seemed to want to delay it.

new investigation will look into the role gambling interests (i'm not talking bally's) in getting him elected how much money he took, what he promised them that is why Strickland wanted him gone because if that investigation gets too deep, strickland will be implicated Tic Tac Fruit operators gave Dann over $150,000 and gave Strickland over $50,000 to leave the game alone. They did leave it alone for one year which was all alot of people needed to make a ton of money Strickland is so overated, he makes bad decisions every day. I hope someone take him as a V.P

Now, he is just an overweight attorney. LOL

"Hagan said it was clear that Republican leaders were playing politics with the issue by not only refusing to delay the start, but also by killing an amendment that would have given Charles three months to complete the probe." Why would Dann want to slow the investigation process if not to give him time to destroy evidence? This is not playing politics; it is being diligent with the investigation process.

State Rep. Robert Hagan, D-Youngstown, also talked to Harris on Tuesday about slowing the launch of an investigation in return for Dann's resignation.
Hagan said it was clear that Republican leaders were playing politics with the issue by not only refusing to delay the start, but also by killing an amendment that would have given Charles three months to complete the probe.
So by this line of logic, if someone were to murder someone we would allow the police to wait 90 days before collecting evidence? That would be completely absurd and to have waited this long to draft legislation to turn it over to the Inspector General shows a coverup. Imagine a government office with posted guards standing outside making sure no one steals evidence. And the people of Ohio voted to bring back the Democrats? This is hilarious to watch and then you throw in Brunner fixing elections boards so they favor the Democrats? My god the Democratic party must feel like the party of a horses behind. Lets vote more Democrats in, hahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha haha
