He survived his second term because six GOP Representatives were busted having extramarital affiars during the impeachment hearings.
Without the distractions, it might have ended differently.
Oh, I know the move was during his second term. And, politically, it was the smart thing to do. As a president, I see his failure to go after the Taliban and letting the lending institutions be de-regulated as his biggest failings.

We might be in a different world if he had slapped them down after the USS Cole the way George Bush Sr. did when Kuwait was invaded.

We absolutely would be in far better shape if the banking regulations had been reinstated during W's term.

I read the Dissents as well.
DeRolph I-IV are the reasons why positive "rights" should not be enshrined into foundational documents.
Well, whether one looks at them as rights of the people, or obligations of the state, the fact of the matter is that they ARE written into the Constitution, and the legislature keeps acting as if they are not.

I think nearly all Domestic Relations judges are man haters.
Since most start out as divorce lawyers, it's inevitable.
It's why I prefer appointments. People who are not divorce lawyers need to be in these positions.
What would be entertaining, even though it will never happen, is if we had juries in divorce cases!
What about being a divorce attorney makes people man haters?

The penalties should be triple for a judge.
I remember a R congressman who just got a DUI. What does the person's political affiliation have to do with it?

It was the Iraqi Republican Guard that invaded Kuwait because the Kuwatis were drilling sideways into Iraq!

Well I don't know about that, but its been my experience that it tends to remove most of their civility, especially when there's large sums of money involved.

That's why I don't do em.

Nope. Jim Mason was, although all he did was sign off. I still vote for him. The magistrates do the real work. If you were a JD, you'd know that.

It was a Senator, from Idaho. It arguably would have blown up worse if it wasn't in a dead zone of the media time. Given that the guy is LDS.
It often matters what the affiliation is because a candidate busted on DUI will often lose the seat to the other party in the next election.
It is certain that said Senator will not be coming back in the next election, he will be replaced with Raul Labrador when he declines to run for re-election.
The two people I mentioned, were not sent back into office and the other party won the seats.
I meant why did it matter for purposes of your post.

there is definitely a difference Socially & Economically between Summit & Franklin counties and given the choice I would favor Franklin County for sure.

Yet another reason not to be bribed with our own money from the feds.
All I smell in your post is more desire to transfer suburban income tax dollars to minorities in the urban areas and hilljacks in Appalachia for the purpose of vote buying.
Regardless of how you prefer to subdivide things, it is the Constitutional responsibility of the state to provide for a thorough and efficient system of education.

Over-reliance on local property taxes has rendered our system inequitable and lacking in both thoroughness and efficiency as a result.

Your myopia here stems from your inability to see any general benefit (meaning to the larger society, economy, etc, rather than just to individuals) to education. And when it comes down to it, I don't know that you value education much at all.

Listen to your friend George. Every time he starts to feel insecure he starts to give his educational credentials and credit them for his being who he is today (and presumably what he has to contribute).

But tell me. What benefits are there to the state or society of maintaining geo-political divisions based on income as the most basic unit of educational organization in the state?

As a woman, I am well aware of the clear and present danger presented to children by the proliferation of guns. I also see the idiocy of every dolt with hands believing that they need a gun to uphold their personal sense of safety, and in many cases some ill-conceived notion of "manhood."
Bullets are remarkably democratic. They judge not whom they hit.
End of the day, more guns in circulation means more guns in the hands of people who routinely exercise poor judgment, as well as those simply lacking in the experience and overall training to carry out duties of law enforcement. This includes people like George Zimmerman as well as kids who join gangs for "protection."
Your plan for removing guns from criminals, who have obtained them illegally and will continue to obtain them illegally, is what?
