Since when the poll was conducted apparently has no relevance, you are way, way off, Fred.

They have. For purposes of this discussion, it doesn't matter why.

I just provided you a link to the actual polls, Paco.

Don't argue with me.

Take it up with them.

The Cleveland schools get the most state aid, and perform the worst.
It is proper for each community to determine what it want's to spend on public education. It is not the job of the courts to engage in judicial activism.
This is why positive rights are a bad idea.
In fact, the Ohio Constitution specifies that responsibility for the system of schools rests with the State. For years that responsibility was farmed out to local districts. Further, the state accepts federal funds that have various requirements for academic progress--particularly in the area of narrowing achievement gaps.

Kasich took Ohio on a giant step backward in school funding when he balanced the budget by cutting funds that flowed from the state to the local levels (in many areas other than education). It has never been as simple as doling out dollars, and the relationship between funding and achievement has also never been a straight-line relationship.

Nonetheless, the trend has long been that the percentage of students not in poverty has correlated positively with the percentage of students demonstrating proficiency on Ohio's tests.

They haven't Fred. You're making an assumption that is not true.

Look at the two polls side by side, at how the question is worded in each, and how the answer choices are worded in each.

You're wrong. His numbers have been low since taking office, and December of 2012 was the first time since then that they were more positive then negative (barely). The Quinnipiac polls that have been administered have tested those numbers over time, since his election. The number from the Post was a single question, with different answer choices available to respondents.

I can't help it that you wish to see something that isn't there.

I know that. And they've remained low ever since, only creeping up in the past few months.

Paco seems to live in a dream world where those facts don't exist.

All I smell in your post is more desire to transfer suburban income tax dollars to minorities in the urban areas and hilljacks in Appalachia for the purpose of vote buying.

It is a fact that the numbers are up. The unemployment figures can't be argued either.
I think Kasich is in a better position than Strickland was at this point in time back in 2009.
What do you think of this poll?

Personally, I don't think anyone will beat Kasich.

Yvette McGhee Brown is level headed, just lost a job, which surprised me.

Unsure at this point.

She was the usual man-hating Domestic judge and the usual criminal coddling Common Pleas judge. It has nothing to do with her race, just her Demonrat politics.

Don't know much about what she did as a county judge, but I do remember that the Bar Association didn't rate Kennedy well at all.
I voted against her simply because of the anti-gun factor. I don't like judicial elections at all, I like appoint and retention elections. The general population knows jack about the judiciary, though I don't like the Bar (dominated by liberals) to have influence either.
We've had some real beauties here...some high profile drunks (one with EIGHT DUI arrests, saved by his wife, the County Commissioner) and some who had a habit of sleeping with defense counsel.

Riddle me this:
With similar piles of stolen taxpayer wealth, why are PG County MD, and Montgomery County MD, more violent than Loudon/Fairfax in VA???
I can't give you any statiscal information, Karl. I can tell you from living in a neighboring state that MD is one big 'good ole boys' system and the violence and corruption that was in Baltimore has migrated outwards to the other, less populated counties in a big way. Cecil County is 10 to 15 minutes from our state line. I hate top cross into it because you are immediately besieged by the homeless and junkies.
Annapolis is well worth the hour drive for lunch, but corruption in the court system is alive and well there too.

I found it surpising that Cuccinelli, a personal favorite and a real "right wing extremist" who is easily the left's most hated mid-level politician, is somehow running even.
Usually the party that loses the Presidential election wins the VA Governor the next year.
I will also be interested to see if Chris Christie wins the NJ Democrat primary on write in votes. In addition to winning the GOP primary.
If I were him, I would start seeing if it was possible. It would seal his chances for the Presidency.
No way I will vote for that Obama a$$ sucker for president
