No, I am not. By that logic, because it is illegal for a fourteen year old to drive a vehicle, we should not criminalize drunk driving for adults, or require that they be licensed.

Do you see the disconnect?

Jew why do you need with one assault rifle. Do you plan on killing a bunch of people at a Democrat Rally, against Gun Violence. What do you need with them Jew? Without going off into left field, changing the subject like Sean Hannity. Why JEW, do you need with an assault rifle? Do you have the huge clip that will hold 100 rounds? I suspect you do and you do a lot of target practice. You need 100 rounds to hit a target 25 feet away, if you are lucky one time in 100, if at all. Your eyesight is so damn bad you can't see a target at 50 feet. Why don't you sell your guns old man, give the money to someone in need? You are too damn old, and too dangerous. Leave the guns to someone that isn't all but blind Jew, before you kill someone. Take some good advise Jew. It is time you take your guns to town, while you can get the high dollar.
why do some people buy Corvettes when the speed limit is 65MPH?

because they want to.

as long as they obey speed limits, you can own one.

break speeding laws enough, you lose license.

with firearms....one time breaking law is enough for a 25 year prison sentence.

No, never driven there, Duke.
Drunk drivers don't go out with the sole intent of murdering people with their cars. I would venture most don't think they are too drunk to drive.
Mental cases DO have one intent and that is to murder or mutilate someone else. They'll get the gun no matter what regulations are put in place for regular people. And if they don't get a gun, they'll strap on a suicide bomb or go some other way to accomplish it.
Criminals will always have guns and will always modify them, you know that.
Those facts would suggest that restrictions in the realm of firearm ownership and access are even more appropriate than for driving vehicle.

on your end, yes I do.

we should severely punish crime period.

the laws on the books today enforced will curb gun violence in society immediately if we take politics away form enforcement.

25 year minimum sentence for any violent gun crime.

next case please.

An excellent example Tony. My immediate thought was of Popcorn Sutton. Rather than serve another prison sentence for cheating the Federal government out of their cut of his moonshine proceeds, he sat in his car in his garage with the motor running til his time was up.

Even so, his conviction was perfectly legal, and I'm pretty certain the federal government's taxing powers made it so.

We are going to have to put one hell of a big tax on firearm paraphernalia to pay for that one.

there already is an excise tax of 10%.

a $200 tax stamp is required for all class 3 weaponry on top of that.

the definition of what is considered class 3 is the gun control the left seeks.

PS: if you were speaking jail, the part 2 of the equation is labor camps for criminals. No workie no eatie.

part 2 solves alot more potential criminal acts than part one by 20 to 1.

Toronto isn't "right across the river" as you pointed out with Windsor. It's also as unrepresentative of Canadian life as it gets, with Vancouver running a close second.

I don't think you realize how expensive it is to incarcerate someone. In Ohio, the Department of Rehabilitations is already doing everything it can to get people OUT of our prisons. We have to move our thinking beyond the Dark Ages.

A small fraction. You're still not getting that it's wrong to punish one person for the wrongdoing of another. You must have been raised thinking it's normal.

Reader by your rantings and examples then the following would be fine by you;

I know there is welfare/Medicaid fraud. So we should just do away with Medicaid since some folks can't use it properly.

Also statistics show certain races commit more crimes than others so perhaps we should go ahead and just make it illegal for these folks to own guns? I mean if the statistics fit and it saves one persons' life it's worth it right?

Now I'm not serious about either of these, but that's the argument I hear about guns from the left. "Oh no an AR15 has been used in a few shootings! It's evil and should be against the law! Everyone should have their AR15 confiscated and destroyed!"

It's total nonsense. It's basically Jim Crow for the poorer folks who cannot afford a class 3 firearms license. Folks like Pelosi and Reid would still have their body guards carrying the same weapons. They most likely would still own them as well because they would be able to afford them.

You all want to close the background check gun show loop hole. I'm fine with that. You better make a straw man purchase a hefty sentence though because it will still occur.

You want a waiting period for me to buy an assault weapon? Fine with me.

That's about as flexible as I am with changing our laws.

The above 2 changes might make you feel like you've done something but you've done nothing.

Giving stiffer sentences for gun crimes (including hard labor) would do more to dissuade gun crimes.

I guess he didn't understand the part about my point that big cities in Canada don't have the same problems with gun crimes that we do in America, regardless of the "demographics".
