You Can Listen to the Republicans, NRA, if You Like, But here is a Fact:

Guns don't kill people—people kill people.

People with more guns tend to kill more people—with guns.

The states with the highest gun ownership rates have a gun murder rate 114% higher than those with the lowest gun ownership rates. Also, gun death rates tend to be higher in states with higher rates of gun ownership.

Gun death rates are generally lower in states with restrictions such as assault-weapons bans or safe-storage requirements.

Update: A recent study looking at 30 years of homicide data in all 50 states found that for every one percent increase in a state's gun ownership rate, there is a nearly one percent increase in its firearm homicide rate.

You want to see what happens when Liberals give up their guns and convince others to give up their guns so they cant defend themselves which these Liberals willingly did and look at the postition they are in now because they gave up their guns to protect & defend themselves from an invading enemy that has no use of their way of living and or their type of society.

Illinois requires trigger locks be sold with guns, and Cook County bans assault weapons, yet Chicago has more murders than cities such as New York and Los Angeles that have larger populations. You spout your crap but run and hide when someone calls you out on it. And you call me the a coward.

Supreme Court Rules on 'Straw Purchaser' Law

WASHINGTON June 16, 2014 (AP)

By SAM HANANEL Associated Press

A divided Supreme Court sided with gun control groups and the Obama administration Monday, ruling that the federal ban on "straw" purchases of guns can be enforced even if the ultimate buyer is legally allowed to own a gun.

The justices ruled 5-4 that the law applied to a Virginia man who bought a gun with the intention of transferring it to a relative in Pennsylvania who was not prohibited from owning firearms.

The ruling settles a split among appeals courts over federal gun laws intended to prevent sham buyers from obtaining guns for the sole purpose of giving them to another person. The laws were part of Congress' effort to make sure firearms did not get into the hands of unlawful recipients.

Writing for the majority, Justice Elena Kagan said the federal government's elaborate system of background checks and record-keeping requirements help law enforcement investigate crimes by tracing guns to their buyers. Those provisions would mean little, she said, if a would-be gun buyer could evade them by simply getting another person to buy the gun and fill out the paperwork.

Kagan's opinion was joined by Justice Anthony Kennedy, who is often considered the court's swing vote, as well as liberal Justices Ruth Bader Ginsburg, Stephen Breyer and Sonia Sotomayor.

In dissent, Justice Antonin Scalia said the language of the law does not support making it a crime for one lawful gun owner to buy a gun for another lawful gun owner. He was joined by the court's other conservatives — Chief Justice John Roberts and Justices Clarence Thomas and Samuel Alito.

Supreme Court on Gun Control

WASHINGTON — The Supreme Court dealt a rare blow to the gun lobby Monday by ruling that purchasers must report when they are buying firearms for other people.

The 5-4 decision upheld two lower courts that had ruled against so-called straw purchasers, even though the justices acknowledged that Congress left loopholes in gun control laws passed in the 1960s and 1990s.

Tony.......Pale is a brainwashed fool of a woman........period.

In New York the land of the liberal, or this state has no place for you the Governor pronounced in speech's........the state is advertising on prime time that if you move a business there, there is a 10 year tax holiday.....no state tax at all......corporate welfare according to the libs when applied anywhere but when landing on them.

Lowering taxes creates economic growth, and agreed upon by everyone except in political speech.

Gun control weakens the population, and government.

If America cut all our taxes in half, cut spending everyone recognizes as waste, ending public sector unions completely, made education available online for free kindergarden through Associate Degree,

then protected our borders, law requiring ID and fingerprint to vote, punished criminals severely, and utilized chain gangs in the public view for public area cleanup.

Firearms committed crime receives double the sentence automatically with a new law.
Convicted criminals will work 12 hour shifts 365 days a year for bread and water.....then to a dark cell. nothing else.

Make America's employees the reason to move jobs here. The current path is making them flee in droves.

If the populous is skilled and educated, has ambition to be the very best, then minimum wage and all the human resources crap will be unnecessary.

Jobs will be abundant, and opportunities to work for yourself increase dramatically.

QUESTION:

Why as a nation do we purposefully destroy opportunity for our citizens, and then vote to speed up the destruction?

It is not agreed upon, by everyone. It is nothing but an economic plan by Republicans to create jobs, help a few wealthy people. That plan has not created jobs, all it has done is increase the National debt. The less money we take in, the more we owe. Obama created more jobs in one year than George Bush in 8 years. Reality is full of HOG WASH!

have a friend that has spent a lifetime in Chicago. Her Son is a Chicago Policeman. She works for Law Firm at

Willis Tower
Chicago, IL
233 S. Wacker Drive,
Chicago, IL 60606

Chicago, the third-largest city in the United States, is home to 1,209 completed high-rises, 73 of which stand taller than 550 feet (168 m). The tallest building in the city is the 110–story Willis Tower (formerly the Sears Tower), which rises 1,451 feet (442 m) in the Chicago Loop and was completed in 1974. Sears Tower was the tallest building in the world from its completion until 1998, when it was overtaken by the Petronas Towers in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia; it remained the tallest building in the United States until May 10, 2013 when it was overtaken by One World Trade Center in New York City. The second-, third- and fourth-tallest buildings in Chicago are the Trump International Hotel & Tower, the Aon Center and the John Hancock Center, respectively. Of the ten tallest buildings in the United States, four are located in Chicago.

I will ask her about Chicago, get her thoughts on the City.

I don't think you addressed the COWARD issue. Weren't you the one that shoved your kids out the door, with your poor wife in front of the kids, while you ducked behind them, and said to some teens in your yard, "I have a gun" and that most come after they were long gone. Then you called the Police, of which they took their time coming. No more than I know about you, I bet you call them every time there is a loud clap of thunder. You are weird, and that is saying it very lightly.
