Don’t they make you sick of listening to that chatter? I am so glad that old Mitt Romney got walloped. Old war monger George W. Bush, cost Mitt millions of votes, now in 2016, we can use Bush again, as the last Republican in the White House.
Well, John Boehner did make them read the Consitution out loud.

You cannot think beyond your own nose, can you?
Do you really believe that Mr. Gregory, highly paid, extremely bright and articulate, after network aides place telephone calls to the ATF (who in turn called the DC police and returned a call to NBC with advice in response to the original inquiry), purchased the mag on the streets of DC himself, walked into the studio with that magazine in his pocket, and placed it on the table?
Do you really think that picking up the mag, holding it for five seconds to display it to the camera for purposes of a tv interview with the President of the NRA, and then setting it back down on the table would be sufficient to constitute the element of personal "possession" necessary to bring a conviction in either a criminal jury, or bench trial?
You really aren't very bright are you?

Criminals are criminals, you know what the Bible says about evil. It has been here from the time Cain killed Able. Remember the stupid talk of George W. Bush, that fool thought we could stamp out terror (evil). I thought you were supposed to be smart Tony?
What good does it do a good man to own an AR-15 or an AK-47? If you were in the Middle East maybe you could use such a weapon. Do you own such weapons? What need do you have for them. A 223 might be great for varmints, but never a need for an assault type. What would you use an AK-47 for. It seems to me, people are arming themselves for a civil war. Are we becoming as uncivilized as terrorists.
I choose to protect myself against what I think are the most likely threats. No, I do not think a civil war is likely. More likely in my opinion is a disaster situation where the government will be overwhelmed and unable to help everybody who needed it in a timely manner.

Since I am rural, help will get here last, so I prepare to be able to be on my own for an extended period. Others will be not so prepared, and are likely to become desperate. THOSE are who I will have to defend my family against. And it behooves me to have equal or better protection than what they might have. I am not easily visible from any road, so odds are good I may never be found by anyone trying to harm me and never have to fire off a single shot. I truly hope that is the case, but I'm preparing in case it isn't. Just as I insure my home against fire... I'm not planning on having a fire, just planning for that case.

You seem to think that law-abiding gun owners WANT to kill someone... But that's YOUR thought, not mine, and you should examine yourself to discover why you think that way, not project it onto other people. Taking a life is one of the LAST things I want to do... but if it comes down to protecting my family, I will. There's nothing "uncivilized" about that.

I can tell you that I know that convictions in a court of law aren't based on perceptions, without evidence.

I can tell you that you don't understand the meaning of the word "possession" as a legal term.

http://legal-dictionary.thefreedictionary.com...

I can tell you that you don't understand the defense to such a potential charge involving a good faith reliance upon the statement of a public official.

http://www.wgal.com/news/politics/ATF-officia...

https://litigation-essentials.lexisnexis.com/...

I can tell you that unless the item in question is actually in the hands of the police, there are only a couple of individuals who know for certain whether it was real, or a prop, and none of those people are under any obligation to speak to anyone about it, especially the police.

If it was merely a prop...there's no crime.

If it was real, but its not in the hands of the police for use at trial...no conviction.

You see...you aren't as smart as you think you are.

I haven't claimed to have lost any.
And didn't the 08' crash happen due to eight years of Bush policies?
I think it started because some people were allowed to buy homes they couldn't afford.
Everyone knows, I hope, that government policies takes time to affect the economy and that's why things started falling apart after Bush left!
Actually they fell apart before he left. Whose fault was that? Clinton's? Fact is, Obama went in with a supermajority and failed to put any meaningful policies in place. Some people think that's not necessarily a bad thing, and look forward to more of the same.

I'm smart enough to know that there's always somebody smarter than me, but it surely isn't you.

Prove that anything I said in my prior post was wrong, Fred.

Once again, if Mr. Gregory gets charged, which is highly unlikely, he won't be convicted of a felony, for sure, and he probably wouldn't even be convicted of a misdemeanor.

No magazine in possession of the police = no charges. And he's got at least two or three viable defenses to boot, and the prosecutor knows it.

But you think he "should" be charged, just because that's what you think.

That's not how it works.

Who in their right mind is going out in the country to bother you or your family. It is all in your mind. Maybe a trip into town, to have a conversation, with a good psychiatrist. You have listened to too much Ted Nugent, or some crazed Tea Party Member. Where do you get all of this total nonsense.

Have you stocked up on ammo, pipe bombs, dynamite? What have you got out there in the country, you are trying to hide?

People "in their right mind" are no threat to me at all. It's those who failed to make preparations and who become desperate... willing to kill someone to get something to eat... that I worry about in that kind of situation.

You won't have to worry about me... you'll be worrying about yourself and your family, when your city runs out of supplies in three days or less. If your family were literally starving, what would you be willing to do to get food? Steal? Kill? Doesn't that person you're contemplating stealing from or killing have the right to defend himself or the supplies he acquired for his family?
Have you stocked up on ammo, pipe bombs, dynamite? What have you got out there in the country, you are trying to hide?
Ammo, yes. Not much use for bombs. Not trying to hide anything. Just trying to protect what I have.

Hey Kid, or should I call you BOY! You have no rights here to feel you can call anyone names. When you yourself keeps changing your name. And you hide in that nursing home you call an office. Your trolls are losing faith in you. Don't bring god or jesus into this, they can't help you either. I bet you don't even go to church & give your 10%. Who you going to blame my post on? tip, LiG, pale rider, etc... your list goes on & on to who you'll blame it on who/what/where/him/her/it? I can post at anytime I feel like it. I'll bet you pick names out of a hat as to what times people post or don't post. Your a loser, look at your life on here. You have no life if your on here 24/7 posting everywhere about anything just to see your many names on here.

The government is running public service announcements about disaster preparedness. Homeland Security does a lot to prepare as well. Cell phone companies are setting up their customers to receive emergency alerts, and the EBS tests more frequently than ever. Are you daft?

He stated that it was genuine, yes. Doesn't mean it was.

Regardless, to compare this to Gilbert Arenas threatening a teammate with four guns placed purposefully with a note is a bit disingenuous.

DC won't prosecute because any action in Congress to actually ban mags would be destroyed by the shots of Gregory's perp walk.
The stories I've read seem to make the chronology of the calls between the ATF, NBC, and DC Police quite unclear, and that chronology is highly relevant.

DC won't prosecute because it would be a waste of their time.

Big Civil War in the works. First, disarm the citizenry. Next, arm the Mexican drug cartels to move north joined by many within. Then, drive the Americans off the land &/or into camps.
