There should be three primary debates. One in December (Iowa), one in Jan (NH) and one in SC.

That's it.

Designate the VP after Iowa, or be disqualified. Name two Cabinet picks before SC.

Well see who is serious and who isn't.

I read a piece in the NP yesterday about how Harper has such tight control over his ministers, imagine a GOP like that.

<quoted text>What part of "two term limit" don't you understand? A Vice President who was already President for eight years cannot become president again. Bill Clinton said exactly that in an interview with Letterman.
The Constitition specifically states that to be eligible, that you must be a U.S. citizen, 35 years old or older and a resident of the United States for 14 years or more to be eligible to be elected to the office of President. Bill Clinton fits all the constitutionally mandated criteria to be eligible to hold the office of President. Therefore one could argue that he could hold the office of Vice President and then assume the office of President not via an election, but in the unfortunate event the elected President could not fulfill his or her term of office for some reason.

The parliamentary system is a double edged sword in that way, though. Ever see the mirror universe Star Trek episode? The only way to get ahead was by assassination in their Starfleet. That's how it often works in intra-party wars in a parliamentary scheme.

Did not see that one.

Currently in the UK, it seems that both Cameron's party and the LibDems have no ability to police the ministers.

Same thing happened when Blair was in power as well.

By contrast in Canada, I cannot recall a major area of disagreement between any Harper ministers. I do recall one statement by Vic Toews that was ripped relentlessly, and somehow he wasn't fired over it. I found that weird.

Le Dauphin is now leading in the polls. Doomed, they are.

Talking about health.

Poor old Ronnie, had Alzheimer Disease so bad. Nancy had to get an astrologer in private and public matters--unknown to the voting public. Yep an astrologer to tell her husband what do, he was in such bad shape. It was awful. I felt sorry for him.

I felt sorry for George, liquor all but ate up his brain.

That I wonder how it impacts the next election.

The socialists are going to get a ridiculously large majority due to 10% of the right wing vote going to a splinter party.

They will easily get drunk with power, I see it backfiring in the way that the large surge for the GOP in NH in 2010, backfired in 2012.

After all these weeks, not a single Republican, has offered anything on gun control. All they have squawed about is:

1. The Government, is telling them what to do.

2. Those on the left are COMMIES.

3. Those on the left want to take away our Contitutional rights.

4. Those on the left want to take our guns?

What do those on the RIGHT propose?

Maybe you should do something about bullying, as most of these shootings were perpetrated by victims of it. You know, people who like to punch people in the face for something they say... They are the cause of it.

Fry Queen, you've been told many times. Get help for the mentally ill. To what degree of mental illness and how to deal with civil liberties regarding Dr./patient confidentiality.

There are also many other things that should be done. Mandatory education much like getting a drivers license.

Putting armed security in public schools or other public ares is a valid option. I believe no coincidence that these suicidal cowards did this where they knew there would likely be no one armed.

Make no doubt about it, no limitations should exist on a weapon. There are many weapons out there such as knives, bombs, chemicals, etc.

What bothers me as a conservative is that the left is pushing their social agenda as a result of what happened in these instances. Nothing the left has proposed would prevent or stop this.

And in typical liberal fashion when the NRA president proposed putting armed guards in schools they called him names and made fun of him. Agree or not, that is one idea that could have prevented a lot of deaths.

But really if you want to prevent this things need to get better economically. There is little hope out there right now.

Black unemployment is double the national rate. Drug abuse and related killings are at an all-time high. You name it. I could fill a page.

Sure some more might get healthcare but if they can't eat, work or put a roof over their families head what good is that? So some can't deal with it and look what happens.

A total police state like Japan would probably end these instances, but we are not the Japanese. We would not accept it.
