When an intruder comes kicking down your door, you're to run with your double barrel shotgun and fire 'both' rounds into the air out your window! Now, that will get those home invaders to run like hell.

I agree with Bidden on one thing about the shotgun, a blast to the face or chest area with 00 or slug round, WILL do the trick. If there's more than one attacker, after the first one drops after hearing that loud BOOM and seeing flesh hit the ceiling and walls, the others will run over each other in terror to get the hell outta that house, guaranteed!

The easiest way to get dead is to assume that a: the people who broke into your home to rob it and are willing to harm you in the process are pussies scared of their own shadow, and b: that they will have no feelings for the person you just killed and will abandon them like dropping the wrapper from a pack of smokes. Those are the qualities of some people but certainly not all.
