<quoted text>The Bexley police department is who keeps the thugs out of Bexley. They know that once they go over that bridge heading east out if Eastgate across Nelson, the surveillance and pull overs are in effect immediately.
Having a bar-b- que at the little Nelson park, is as close to Bexley the hood will ever get to Bexley without getting stopped and questioned.
The only bad part of the Nelson Rd. area are those low income apartments ( Nelson park apt.) on Maryland ave. west of Nelson Rd. Blacks don't venture into Wolfe park at all, and since Franklin park was turned into the Conservatory, they stopped going there as much also. Summer jazz concerts are the only time you'll see more than ten blacks at a time in Franklin park nowadays.
LOL - Now you're starting to sound like us!

All jokes aside, there are blacks, and then there are blacks. At the casino Saturday night, it didn't bother me to be around all the brothers and sisters who came to watch Morris Day sing (if you can call it that). But then two of the "other" kind of blacks were behind me after I got out of the bathroom and I couldn't help having the instinct of not feeling comfortable with those two walking behind me.

I think most people know the difference and as I said, I would have felt no better if those two were white.

Criminals go where the money is, regardless of their race. And I see you just happened to go up to Hollywood when Morris Day was there to perform his laughable 'giggalo' act on stage. You were in black booty heaven, huh E Bob, looking at all the out of shape 40 Somethings that used to be 'brick houses'( 36-24-36) back in the 80's!
Now, 30 odd years later, they have guts and to go with those over fat asses and saggin tits,Lol! A friend called and ask me to go. I said, shyt, you won't catch me up there with all them cows trying to re-live their long lost youth, lol.

The thug huddle around the crap tables looks like they're all urinating in it with their pants half mast.
Anyhow, There were a lot more Hot chocolates at the En Vogue concert than there was at the Morris Day event, BTW.
So, Wise American....Who are you hoping will come, so you can rekindle your afro days? Parliament-Funkadelic?
To be honest, I wish they could get Charlie Wilson there. I like his music, or maybe Zapp & Roger(if they're both still around).

I'm waiting for a SteelyDan concert...Deacon Blue, Hey Nineteen, Aja, Rikki, Do it Again... real cool white boy rock with a soul feel to it. That's when music was best. Styx, Chicago, The Eagles!
Parliament-Funkadelic is cool if you're into the funk and smoking weed,One Nation Under The Groove, Atomic Dog and Maggot Brain were my favorites, but Roger Troutman was killed by his brother years back. I liked his mastery of the key board and auto tune voice overs. En Vogue was the hottest girl group ever and made decent radio music. Charlie Wilson bounced back with His love ballads over the past six years. When he sung in the Gap Band, he tried to copy George Clinton too much.

Roger Troutman of Zapp, was killed by his brother years ago, is what I was saying. Ohio has a whole lot of top black groups that made it big back in the 70's and 80's!
Zapp & Roger Troutman (Dayton),The Isley brothers (Cinnati), Slave featuring Steve Arrington (Dayton) The Ohio Players (Dayton), Heat Wave (Dayton), Nancy Wilson of the Supremes/Diana Ross was from Columbus, The OJays (Cleveland).

Yes me and my wife is planing to moving to Columbus ( Grove City Area) around 2015. Im originally from Columbus but was real little when i lived there. But to my point how is the cost of living up there and the crime any areas i should avoid looking for a house and areas i should look. which areas is the best is what im looking for. Any information will be appreciated.
Lived in Grove City area for 25 yrs. Taxes are really high. Our home value was around 250,000 and taxes per yr. average around 6500.00 Stay away from the west side of G.C. IT'S WENT DOWN DRASTICALLY.New part of meadowgrove, quailcreek, creekside have nice areas. Cops up there really do good job at keepning eye for everyone. I'm not saying there is no crime but it's not toobad like other areas.Somewhat miss the area but no longer paying out the ying yang for taxes. Goodluck in your search.

Growed considerably. Not the liitle town it use to be some yrs ago.

Urban Crest would be just the nice little quite community for you and your loved ones. That community has the BEST police protection in the entire southwest Columbus area!

You sound like you've traveled everywhere for drugs.

I can't ever imagine Fagen and Becker playing a casino like Columbus. They've played at the best ones in Vegas...whole different story there with multiple nights. But man, I could listen to Gaucho all the way through every day.
I'd go see P-Funk. Or Brick. I would see Chicago as long as it was all pre-Cetera. Or Wild Cherry.

You're a real detective, "Female"...You think someone that lives in the hilltop/bottoms has to venture to Urban Hollow for drugs? BTW, What doctor is running...or should i say 'ruining' them hills you live in?

If the money is right I could see Don and Walt at Hollywood. Vegas ain't bringing folks since the recession. I was there in 2008 in August. A four day stay at the Wynn plus plane ride round trip was $1200!

Well, if you're a retired cop that area could use your special crime fighting skills. The druggies would know that a new sheriff is in town and act accordingly.
As far as seeing my face around a drug den at anytime, is an insult to one as wise as I am, and you wouldn't catch me dead in the bottoms or the hilltop! I'd rather be caught in south linden than hilljack heaven!

Agree with the above, but liked the Gap Band for "You Dropped a Bomb on Me" and "Burn Rubber". Favorites back in the day, and they still sound good when I hear them ...

I gave you all my love, I gave you my time, Why you wanna hurt me girl ....

Woo, gave you my money, I gave you my time
Why you wanna hurt me, girl
Are you serious, Iím just curious
Why you wanna hurt me, girl
