"Because it's Ohio highest bridge". That seems to be a lie Dispatch! Where is your proof of that bridge is the highest? AS a Carpenter I've worked on some of the biggest bridges in Ohio. Main Ave,Detroit/Superior,490 by pass, valley view, and the turnpikes. Especially the one that goes through Boston mills in summit County! These all seem to be higher than the one that is being tossed around. By what do I know. I just work on them!

That's funny, cops trying to prevent suicides. The cops in Columbus just blast them.

36" to 52". Well that'll stop the really short people.

However, there were no plans for new safety features, other than increasing the height of the barrier walls from about 36 inches to 52inches, she said.

If the bridge was in the innercity, our gov't would erect a 10-foot chainlink fence to keep people on the bridge.

See... this is why I've been saying for years that there is no place for bridges in today's society.

Those fences are to prevent people from throwing heavy objects from the bridges.

No other reason to be there? Are you kidding me? What about somebody enjoying the wonderful view? That is an awesome bridge. Not everybody is a nutcase, you know.

I know I wouldn't risk my life to save someone trying to kill themselves.I would probably tell them to hurry up and bail off because you're holding up traffic.

Let them off themselves.

It sure beats them killing lots of other people and then killing themselves.

The article states the patrol has specialized training in dealing with suicides. What training? Then you have a severely depressed person ready to jump, then for some reason he decides not to jump. He/She is issued a citation for inducing panic how logical. A depressed person is given a ticket to aid in the depression. Then again if the person jumps. The troopers say they did not get their in time. If they do not jump then they beat their chests like a bunch of baboons and act like they saved someone's life. Then finally issued the person a ticket for not being in their right state of mind. This really makes me proud. You have a trooper drive to fast, and his coach is sitting next to him and is killed. The trooper is considered a hero. The coach is responsible for his cub and should be charged with murder. The patrol is the master of deception.

Last I have known this is still American and freedom of speech. it seems coincidental that most of the blogs are from Columbus, Ohio where OSPH headquarters is located. Then again tell the viewers what specialized training? The patrol say they are out to save lives, whose life did they save. They just wanted to ticket the individual to get more revenue for the state. The overpass over S.R. 11 a big rock was thrown over which killed a truck driver, is their yet a high fence over the overpass? No. A organization that prides itself in saving lifes or collecting revenue, you make the decision. Did the Ohio State Patrol fix the Crown Vic's or how long did it take to fix the gas tank. Why isn't their two troopers assigned to each patrol car, would this also be Officer Safety.
