3 boxes of 10 twinkies were going for $300 on e-bay. That was early yesterday. Probably $400 now.

There won't be no civil war. Our fed is way too powerful compared to a century ago. No state, local militia have the financial and technological and military tool to endure an uprising. Even the oil companies and corporations will tell them tea party people to hush they want peace to make profit.

That left the only people who are either desperate or dead poor and have nothing to lose, or just lunatics. Most of us won't put on bootstraps anyway.

The feds are 16 trillion in debt and on the brink of massive cuts in military spending.

Does this sound like someone who can crush an uprising?

It's not about the twinkies.

THINK about the wages of those 18,000 employees being withdraw from the economy...

AND

THE INCOME TAX they pay being withdrawn from the tax coffers. Federal government has just lost revenue. Also the states, counties and municipalities.

And then think of all the businesses both the company and the employees supported that will be laying off or closing and more $ out of the economy and more lost tax revenue.

It's like watching a stack of dominos fall. Everytime somebody loses their job, the GDP drops, less taxes are collected and the chance opens up that there will be another job loss.

I don't care if Obama raises upper income tax to 75% and middle class to 50%, it's not going to be enough to keep us out of DEPRESSION, not recession.

And the less wage tax collected, the more the taxes are going to increase at the pump, on your phone, power and cable bills. Trash collection, everything they can tax.

Obama better come up with a huge job creation plan and fast. Increasing taxes will not do it.

It's like I was telling the manager at Hooter's in their last days, getting swamped like they hadn't been for quite a while: "You guys should go out of business more often!" His response was "Yeah, really!"

I know all about job loss, having watched the company location I spent 42 years at fold in April. Luckily, I am close enough to retirement that I'll survive. Unfortunately there were a lot of folks who were much younger than me sent out the door. It looks pretty bleak for most of them.

We don't need an uprising, only enough "consequences" to sway the vote.

LOL Good point. Also, they're incapable and the military, mostly, would be on our side.

I'm so sorry. My husband worked for the same company for 23 years. Since 2008 he has worked for 4. Always the same, they get big jobs, start and finish phase I, then the developer either has his bank bond pulled or runs out of money. And whereas he was always salaried and had 5 men crews, he now is hourly and they cut the crews to 3 men. It's depressing. Although he is lucky because he has a good reputation and just a phone call puts him back to work. I anticipate some bad months ahead. We'll be O.K. I just feel so bad for families with children.
4 more friggin years of uncertainity.
North America becoming energy independent, Romney's plan, would have cemented well paying jobs immediately and permanently.
Obama will keep us tied to the mideast forever or until they just outright own us.

Money does not do that to all people.

And it's not all about the money. It's govenment losing touch with who they work for and us letting them get away with it. And face it, people don't get into politics for the money.....it's the

I'm telling you, everyone go to work tomorrow and ask for a new W-4. Fill it out and put 10 in for number of FEDERAL dependents. You can leave the state as it is. Up to you.

Little or no federal tax will be withheld and turned over to the feds weekly.

On January 15th, you'll have to make an 'estimated payment' to them for the withholding tax that was not taken out of your weekly pay.

Then it begins again and they collect no tax revenue until April 15th.

It's all perfectly legal. They starve for three months. You just have to make that quarterly estimated payment.

13 dependents is the magic number you do not want to go above.

Do that nationwide. It's a peaceful revolution.

Let's all sign a petition that all senators and congress members forego their salaries until we have a balanced budget. And vice presidents.
