I hope the driver makes a full recovery. This has to stop, all this violence is dumb. If I were Donatos I wouldn't offer delivery after 11pm at night, it's not safe.

People need to grow up, stop with the robberies, the shootings, stabbings..etc....if you need money, try getting a job and earning it or stop spending what you have on drugs and use it for rent or utilities. It's just frustrating, every day someone is getting killed or shot or hit by a car...enough is enough.

I hope the driver has a speedy recovery.. How sad is it that he's trying to make a living and someone robs him? Donatos should stop delivering in bad neighborhoods, as it's not worth someone risking their life.. If the customers want your pizza, they can pick it up...

Donatos should be sued for not offering adequate protection for its drivers. Afterall, he would be fired on the spot if he tried to protect himself.

So they should have an armed guard or a police escort to drive them around? Your comment is ludicrous.

They should make a concealed/carry permit a qualification for delivery jobs in some 'hoods'. I put 7 years into the pizza industry, working in a small town and in Gahanna/Albany area. Over that period, I walked to the door numerous times with a key ready to slash or sometimes, even my pocket knife was ready; I wasn't gonna get caught 'with my pants down'. When the sun goes down, the crazies come out; and not just on the west side.

It could be as simple as supplying the drivers with pepper spray. Not everything needs to be over-exaggerated.

Stop delivering to these areas. I wouldn't go there in the daylight. I hope the driver recovers.

I agree, supply them with pepper spray or something, this poor kid got shot for simply delivering a pizza. Either stop delivering after a certain time and make the customers come to you or give them pepper spray or something to protect themselves in a case like this. There's no reason these pizza places can't keep their drivers safe.

If you don't want to get shot, always stay at least five blocks away from Sullivant Ave, Cleveland Ave, and James Road.

Donatos should announce immediately that drivers don"t carry more than twenty dollars, and customers should tip more for delivery. And ease up, one of alleged shooters was call Kay son.

It all comes down to insurance and ambulance-chasing lawyers that even ANYWHERE in retail, any given company tells people to simply comply and do not fight back and if you do, you become a workman's comp. liability--reason a person will be terminated if trying to be brave, regardless if you have military training or a concealed-carry. The same goes for the banks, who we know can afford to have better resolution cameras but they are ALWAYS grainy resolution like a digital camera with 1.5 megapixals, like most low-end webcams. It's simple greed and the thugs know that these employees have to comply and when it comes to shoplifting, the rentacops actually have to wait until the perp actually LEAVES the parking lot of whomever the retailer is because the per can and have successfully SUED businesses by simply saying they were "going to pay for it" and absurd things like they were going out to get money from car and forgot they had the items...the law seems to protect the perps rather than the victims. Banks should simply have no more teller-service, with having to be buzzed-in through double locked sets of doors with a metal detector by appointment ONLY. Pizza delivery places should probably rethink things, sadly, as well. Pepperspray is totally legal for we citizens but it is a liability for a business to allow employees to carry, again, because of liability and sky-rocketing insurance rates that woul HAVE to mean higher prices passed onto us--we tax-payers who are paying for these public dime perps or when they are incarcerated. There was an O'Rileys Auto Parts place late last night at closing on far West side that perp went in with guns and gt tem to empty all the cash at end of shift. Bet all this crap is entangled with someone wanting to get their next "fix" because they have alreay gone though our tax-payer hand-outs before first week of month is even over! Sad, sad times we are living in!

Drivers dont even carry more than twenty dollars, remove car toppers, customers should tip more for delivery, and one of alleged shooters was white ease up. Similar situation occured at Papa John's last year on 900 block of Wiltshire/Chestershire-that driver was an idiot though.
