I just checked the website and you cant apply on line. The jobs arent even listed. You may want to check you info before telling people they can apply on line.

... the jobs aren't listed, but you can apply online ... applying is not a part of the Kroger main site, you have to visit this page: http://www.kroger.com/company_information/car...

Kroger makes it sound easy to get hired in the distribution. They have several times that they schedule itnterview/tours and have so many people that come in at the same time it is like a heard of cattle. At the end one gets to talk to someone for a one on one interview and then never hear anything back. This whole process takes several hours so be ready to spend a long time.

It is a great place to work. Been there 5 years. It isn't for the whiney or people who are afraid to work. You will earn your check.

Well that shows how bad you want a job....get off yer lazy @#%...drive to Delaware and "apply"...anyone with "any" common sense know that people who apply in person have a much better chance at getting any job.

dont waste your time and apply in person.. they will just sit you in front on a computer in their lobby to fill out an application and then send you on your way. Do it at home.. i went thru the whole process and got hired. and it only took a few weeks from start to finish.

Dole that wasn't very nice wishing the Kroger to burn down. Do you want more people to lose their jobs and possibly get hurt. I teach my 8 year better than that. Shame on you!!

Anyone applying at Kroger DC in Delaware,OH.....
Be prepared......if there is anything in your
work history or personal history they do not like
you will not be hired!! I applied there 3 different times, went thru their group interview
and had a 5 minute one on one interview and NEVER
heard back from them! I have 22 years of
Warehouse and fast paced Distribution Center
experience and I can operate several types of
electric and propane powered forklifts and know
how to pull customers orders and build pallets
of merchandise...and they did not care!! If there
is anything in your work or personal history they
do not like you will not be hired!! Why Do You
Think they always have employment advertisements
online and in the The Columbus Dispatch??

Hello (WHY)...from my understanding with the group interviews I went thru......most everyone starts
out in the Freezer Warehouse and you are basically
working part time with full time hours...On call
if you will. Once you are full time and have a schedule..its basically a no fault attendance
policy with a union workforce. Unless you are scheduled off on a HOLIDAY DAY....You work the
Holiday.....You can apply online or go to their
DC in Delaware,OH and apply online with their
computers in their lobby entrance.

I always shop Kroger versus Walmart or Giant Eagle. I'd rather keep money here in Ohio (Kroger is based out of Cincinnati) than send it across the country. But I still miss Big Bear...
No thanks

My father worked there for nearly 20 years, his friend works there and has been there for at least 15, my boyfriend just started there. The turnover happens in any business and as this article states its a very physical position and its not right for all people that can't handle the physical aspect of this type of work. They really do have a ton of overtime, just last week my boyfriend put in almost 20 hours of it, and he could have done more if he wasn't exhausted. The benefits are good, and they have a lot of opportunity to work your way up in the company. Honestly if you aren't affraid of intense physical labor, its a great job. People can't handle the physical side of things. They encourage health for the employees too, requiring a minimum of 15 minutes of stretching, free unlimited bottled water during your shift, regular scheduled breaks... I think its great to have a local company HIRING!!!:)

They make you wear a headset and treat you like a robot...You must "pick" a certain amount of things in an hour. Work in a freezer...crappy schedule...not a good job.
