I believe Spook has also been a purveyor.
Just passing through, I am looking forward to the next week as the defense starts to to call witnesses.

As helpful as the states witnesses were for the defense case,
I have to guess that actual witnesses for the defense should be even more helpful.

At this point I feel a fair jury will acquit, however I would not bet on anything.

I didn't make that claim. But perhaps you should scroll back and look at all the posters predicting large lawsuit awards for Zimmerman. How would that be if there wasn't enough evidence to support the charge?

There you go again, Georgie. There have been plenty of posts about him owning Florida, etc. and you know it.
What exactly will he be suing the media for?
Are you really that stupid?

That apology addresses the “Today” show’s failure to abridge accurately the conversation between Zimmerman and the dispatcher in this high-profile case. This is how the program portrayed a segment of that conversation:

Zimmerman: This guy looks like he’s up to no good. He looks black.

And here is how it actually went down:

Zimmerman: This guy looks like he’s up to no good. Or he’s on drugs or something. It’s raining and he’s just walking around, looking about.

Dispatcher: OK, and this guy — is he black, white or Hispanic?

Zimmerman: He looks black.

No matter how you feel about Zimmerman, that bit of tape editing was unfair to the truth and to Zimmerman’s reputation, such as it is. Reaction on Twitter and elsewhere to my previous post on this matter, was brutal toward NBC, with many comments suggesting the worst about the network’s motivations, reliability and so on.

George Zimmerman sues NBC for defamation
By Lisa de Moraes

George Zimmerman sued NBC Thursday, alleging the network defamed him when it edited the recording of his 911 call to police about Trayvon Martin, in order to make him sound like a “racist and predatory villain” for the sake of ratings.

NBC for sure is going to lose to Zimmerman, they clearly defamed him with that altering of the tape, regardless of their claimed intent.

Both people were wrong. Zim should have let it go and Martin should have just stopped and answered the simple questions. But what no one is talking about is why did Martin go live with his dad? because he was a teen always in trouble and his Mother couldn't handle him.

Why? Is he going to go on the internet and beg for legal funds from racists again?

They're not asking that because it isn't relevant to the case.

You think an acquittal is the equivalent of a jury verdict finding liability for libel?

You really are quite delusional.

Have you actually read the suit?

It goes quite a bit further than that.

And it sounds like Zim wrote it himself.

Cross-posting.

"NBC published an edited tape purporting to show that Zimmerman considered that Martin was suspicious because black; in reality the full tape showed that Zimmerman identified Martin as black only in response to a later police question. Allegations were made that Zimmerman used the word “coon” to describe Martin, when even the prosecution now acknowledges that the word used was “punk.”

The “hoodie” was mentioned only when the 911 operator asked Zimmerman to describe Martin’s clothing, yet the “hoodie” has become the image most associated with the case and is used to put a racial context on Zimmerman’s concern. That did not stop college and law students from holding rallies in which students wore hoodies in solidarity with Martin, as if that were the reason a shot was fired."

The prosecution was told to push, and push they did - right into the defense's arms. No matter how this turns out, it was more fodder for entertainment than anything else. How very, very sad.
