Are the neighborhood safety cameras helping lessen crime in Columbus?

I live on the east side and I want to say..NO. Main & Livingston still remain the same as before with a few minor adjustments. More of the Main St thugs are hanging out on Mound & Mcallister. The Livingston Ave thugs are still staying right where they were, regardless if there are cameras watching them. Crime still remains the same and if not, is a little higher. I'd say no for the east side but how is it where you live?

Say, is "thug" the PC version of "obama parasites"?
