Oliver, the reality is that there is no evidence whatsoever to substantiate the notion that Trayvon Martin was doing anything at all on that day beyond walking home from the 7-11. And wearing a hoodie. And being black.
I would also note that if the absence of prayer and corporal punishment in schools were the problem, George Zimmerman was equally impacted by these things. And there is a bit MORE to indicate that he had difficulty, over time, in keeping himself under control, especially when he was angry or had been drinking.
Zimmerman's notion of keeping his neighborhood safe included carrying a gun and trailing any young black male that he saw. He displayed anger that "they always get away," followed Trayvon as he had followed others and in the end shot an unarmed kid who was up to nothing more than returning home.
If you believe that there is evidence of something else, please feel free to offer it.

While I wouldn't expect you to know this, "thou" should be used to show the subject of a sentence.

If you want to use thou in the same context, breaking it into two sentences is the easiest way.

"It has been offered to you thousands of times. Thou has refused all of it."

If you want to keep a compound sentence, tweaking it a bit and using "thee"

"Thousands of times it has been offered to thee and yet you refuse all of it."

A good way to remember it is that thou tends to be active while thee is generally more passive. Thou does things, thee has things done to it.

Really, I would probably suggest pairing either word with archaic verb forms to keep the style consistent (when else do your really get to use hadst?) but just using thou/thee/thy properly is going to be pretty impressive (if a bit strange)!

Nice lesson, but he's really still struggling with the concept of evidence.

The facts will be found by an appropriate jury. Your opinions are unsound on this matter because Zimmerman is your worst nightmare, a Conservative Hispanic, who despite his flaws/peccadillos believes in law and order.

I have no idea what Zimmerman's political views are. And his belief in law and order is not exactly born out in his record.

But, if you are going to accuse me, as you have, of ignoring facts that support Zimmerman, then you should be able to present them.

teaching a stupid bleeding heart racist liberal at your age is an impossible feat, even with an overpaid union teacher.

I only see you ignoring facts; and spinning and lying to everyone.

Enjoy your wasting of your time.

This isn't what I think. This is my presentation of the proper use of charmingly archaic English pronouns. It's what we of a shared grammar collectively think. Or, thought, rather.

If you were being paid five times my current rate (which, last I checked 5 x 0 isn't much any impressive than the base rate) one would hope that you're able to deliver correct sentences.

If you're going to do something, do it right. Especially if you think you're doing something valuable.

you are not a judge or jury member.

you are not entitled to see evidence until it is presented to the court.

and your lie about you not knowing Zimerman's political view, or your lies that you never saw the doctored video and voice recordings that were presented as news to the world.

your ilk made this case about race.

Problem with all that is you picked a horrible case for your agenda.

This case is a smear on our legal system; and politics is the root cause.

Horrible that a teenager was shot to death; but also horrible a 30 something man otherwise would be beat to death.

due to race only, you picked sides.

I would have been on Trayvon's side had the shoes been reversed.

When this case is dismissed.....whom is going to take it to the streets?

and when that occurs we have another exact case repeat, you going to be picking the innocent by skin color or actions?

that simple.

Trayvon's teenage actions cost him his life. You can't spin that fact.

Please explain your evidence that with out a doubt proves guilt otherwise.

The question was asking YOU to support a claim that you made. I already know that Trayvon had no way of knowing that the police were on their way. He was walking home and talking to a friend (substantiated by phone records).

Zimmerman, on the other had DID know that the police were on their way--he was talking to the dispatcher up to 2 minutes before the fatal shot was fired.

Florida has some interesting public record laws. Virtually all evidence (unless specifically ruled otherwise by the court) becomes public record as soon as it is made available to the defense on discovery. And once it is public record there are all kinds of folks requesting it. Complete transcripts and tapes of police and FDLE interviews, all kinds of evidence-tracking records, transcripts and audio of 911 calls, photos, some limited medical info etc. have been widely available from multiple sources for quite some time. Some is even posted on Zimmerman's own site, put up by his attorney.

And FYI, the photo you have probably seen in full bloody color, moved outside the official chain of custody--one reason it wasn't immediately available.

But--since you are claiming that all Trayvon had to do (to keep from getting shot) was to sit and wait for the police to show up, I think it is reasonable for you to answer the question. What makes you think he had any idea the police were coming? And he should have sat instead of exactly what?

See response above about what Florida law makes publicly available.

As I noted, I have little knowledge of Zimmerman's politics--but I think someone claimed he was registered as a Democrat--so you thinking that he is some kind of hated conservative doesn't really hold up for you.

And, I didn't say I didn't see any edited versions of anything presented on the news. However, I have seen and listened to a good bit of unedited evidence.

As far as evidence?

Well, let's start with the dead body, the bullet from the gun removed from Z's holster, his immediate admission that he shot Trayvon. Z claims self-defense and has some wounds. However his wounds, lacerations to the face and back of head, do not link via DNA or anything else that I have seen, to Trayvon.

There is, of course, a good bit more. Some is primarily helpful in disproving Z's account of events. However, unless Z's attorney chooses to put him on the stand, it's unlikely that story will ever make it into court.

Now then, your evidence?

Reader, Trayvon had a cell phone. He should have called 911 if he felt threatened.

So he didn't and now he's dead.

Hardly justification.

And by the time he was screaming hysterically at the point of a gun, I don't believe he had his phone any more.
