Congratulations to the residents of Westerville for a new Wal-mart. Now you'll have all of the cheap and shoddy items from China and other foreign countries to purchase and they (Wal-mart) have the audacity to fly the American flag on the store. You will also have to contend with all of the traffic. On the bright side, the obese and individuals with no taste for clothing will have a place to shop. I remember when Wal-mart was proud to advertize their products were made in the USA.
go piss up a rope. Last time I checked there was one (1) person paying for grocewries and goods coming into MY HOME and it sure as hell aint you stranger. Go set up another table at the Westerville Library and throw yourself a pit party while your at it. Oh yeah -- you lost. Tough dog nuggets!!! Eat shit and bark at the moon.

I believe it's a bad idea because of the traffic. There's already too much congestion in that area. What do you say to that?
It's also not needed. There's plenty of shopping. There's another Walmart 10 minutes away.
Fortunately, it's not up to you or some whacko grass roots group hanging out at the library gathering bogus signatures to say what is and what isn't needed in he way of retail businesses going into Hadler's property. The market drives that. Ask the people in Clintoville if they'd trade their new prized retail site that went into a vacant store front (Larry Flynt's Hustler SuperStore) for a Wal-Mart.

It will be on Schrock Rd , East of Westerville Rd. I'm not sure why your saying the trip will be up Cleveland Ave. instead of Westerville Rd?
that's because Jim is one of those people in this fascinating provincial-view world of ours that can't stand the sight of people from all rungs of the economic ladder...and he's also very well off financially because he pays top dollar for all his groceries and goods at high priced grocers that sink a bunch of marketing dollars into the local college sports program -- and I'm not talking about Otterbein, "Jim". Whose groceries are you purchasing this week besides your own Jim??? No one??? That's what I thought. Shut your mouth jerk and enjoy the view of those vintage Caddies.

take your whining and kvetching to Westerville City Council. When you buy my groceries you can dicate the terms. Until then go blow out your venom on a liberal pity party site. Always trying to control what other people do and how they spend their $$$. Pffft.

Walmart didn't put our economy where it is today. We have to shop Walmart because the prices are cheaper than the mall. Especially some of us on set income of SSDI like my husband because of cancer. I don't blame God for this. There are somethings that just happen in life. Presently I am out of work, so F you!
Blame the past presidents like Clinton, Bush, and some others who had sent our jobs across the beautiful pond into China, Vietnam, India, and other countries.
Why we have diversity is for people like you who are really ignorant. Go get educated.
I am a person in her 50's who went back to college got my bachelor's and working on my master's degree.
I feel unions if some people approve of them are worthless. For many who are part of the unions are lazy people. Even though my dad worked back in Indiana for a union he was a hard worker and farmed. I bet you couldn't do two jobs and support your family without any complain, so shut your mouth.
I belong to a union and I am not lazy and have a bachelor's degree to put it bluntly you can take Walmart and put it where the sun does not shine.

I love these posts. Too bad the Dispatch decided to change to a new site for the politcally correct.
This gives the Wal a chance to raise its standards, and the Franklin County Sheriff along with the Westerville police an opportunity to enforce what the Federal laws gives them the authority to do. Sheriff Joe in Arizona is rounding them up and putting them in pink wear to clean up their 270's along with other roads together with their washes (streams), etc. Walmart is a good place for ICE to round up 12 at a time along with the drug enforcers. Hopefully, Walmart will bring in alot of tax dollars for Westerville.

All of you Republican snotbags from your pathetic provincial little small minded hole deserve a China-Mart after all. Perhaps the next episode of "gangland" can be filmed in the parking lot of the westerville walmart. There are many types of "mechanics" besides "grease monkey". Walmart will eventually go the way of Sears due to the exploitation of vendors and employees and the horrible customer service. Nice to know that your city council is nothing more than a bunch of prostitutes for sale to the highest bidder and that is an insult to "ladies of the evening"

The People's Republic of China wants to thank you for your patronage as you drive your made in Korea Kia with a made in Shangai Amercan flag sticker and wonder why you cannot make more than minimum wage! Don't blame unions blame the whores in congress and at the statehouse for promoting one way free trade rhrough this rapacious disgusting POS company. All in the name of free market capitalism supporting the economy of the biggest communist nation in the world. What really disgusts me about Walmart more than anything else is that they have all of this "support the troups" BS while their suppliers are the ones who armed the Viet Congs in Nam and killed many Americans in Korea. In the meantime management promotes and contributes to all of these right wing pukes running for political office out to destroy the middle class and create a banana republic out of a once great nation. Walmart and the Walton family can all rot in Hell!!!

Wouldn't't hurt we have some slum areas close by the perimeter. So what's the difference. My home is close to some slum areas of Westerville. The poor shop in Westerville anyways. Bring it on.
