The prices are listed on the PUCO website. I saw nothing drastic. And then there's this. Are you sure the conservation request didn't account for a lower gas bill?<quoted text>
I got a price break because there is a glut of NG in NE Ohio.
Try buying propane or fuel oil in Maine.
"CLEVELAND, Ohio -- On the eve of another Arctic blast that will push temperatures below zero, Dominion East Ohio is asking customers to use less of the fuel.
In a special alert late Friday, the company urged customers over the coming week "to voluntarily turn down their thermostats and lower the setting on their water heaters if they can do so safely."
The company also asked its commercial and industrial customers to "reduce the use of natural gas for manufacturing or processing if practicable."
Dominion made a similar plea during the cold snap that began on Jan. 5 and managed to get through a week of extraordinary demand with only a few hundred complaints of low gas pressure.
Although Dominion East Ohio's distribution system is connected to multiple interstate pipelines and now includes direct supplies of Ohio shale gas, the company credits its customer conservation efforts earlier in the month for limiting disruptions."
