No one is more hypocritical than that person whose moral code is valid only for himself.
That is a completely nonsensical statement.

I'm starting to lean toward ward representation, reluctantly. It might be the only way to get Republicans back on council and back into County government. Nothing worse than one party rule, Democrat or Republican.
Not a bad idea. When I was growing up in Toledo, it was still using the ward system. It was good in that you had someone you could contact quickly or bring up a problem to quickly, the local based system worked pretty well. And Toledo was bigger in the 60s and 70s than it is now. I think it changed to a city council sometime in the mid 70s.

That some cultures practice [fill-in-the-blank] does not make it moral.
Get it?

Somehow, it is not surprising that it makes perfect sense to a booze soaked cat hoarder.

You forgot Dayton, Springfield and Lima. I'm going to have to say Mansfield has more curb appeal than Springfield and Lima. At least the northern part near US 30 is pretty nice.

... Lorain, Elyria ...
Toledo? We'll let gokeefe chime in on that one, but the suburbs are nice.
I will praise the burbs in Dayton, I lived there for 20+ years and th kids were educated in one of the top notch public high schools in the state there.

I can't say much about the burbs in Toledo though. The entire NW area of Ohio is struggling, huge loss of industrial base and even the burbs seem to be shrinking a bit. Some of them--Sylvania, Maumee, and Perrysburg (the Ohio burbs) are having a few problems--they were great 20 years ago, but have an aging and diminishing population. Maumee in particular because it was on the very southern edge of Toledo and that end of town turned ghetto--Southwyck Mall was there and then that mall was torn down. Another mall got built down the road right in Maumee.

Still, there are some pretty nice areas south of Toledo along River Road into Maumee and Perrysburg. Old money, though.

The burbs in Michigan are a bit nicer, but these are more of the "resort-ish" type of burbs near or on Lake Erie or further away from the city. Monroe or Lambertville are kind of nice.

Wrong. Christianity did not invent the idea of a spirit. Native Americans believe in spirits and were/are very spiritual without a Christian god.
I didn't mention Christians, neither did the person I replied to. Atheists do not reject ONLY the christian God, you know... they don't believe in Zeus, Athena, or Native American Gods either.

I think you do not understand Catholicism as well as you think you do. A divorce is a divorce, no matter who files. I think you are confusing a divorce with an annulment.

So sayeth you. And why do some people seem to think that the beliefs of others may be placed into little boxes, wrapped up in bows, and labeled?
woof
"A" means "No", "theism" means "belief in god". Atheists believe there is no god (spirit). Could you be confusing atheists with agnostics?
