Bob, you got me thinking. I do believe I will find out for myself if your words and behavior are indeed Christian in nature. There is a Catholic Church down the street. I believe I shall copy all your posts, and mine as well - to be fair, of course - and ask the priest himself what he thinks. Oh, and Georgie's posts too. Wouldn't want him feeling left out. And since you revere the church and religion so much and a priest is indeed a man of god, I would imagine you would value any opinion he has, correct?
Make sure you take all of your posts along as well...when the priest matches those up to the vile attitude you no doubt present in person, he'll have some context to go by.

1. I think your phrasing "it wasn't that hard" is a clue considering you are no longer within the faith. Your choice.
2. Yes, you may judge. However, you need to keep in mind you cannot read one's mind, heart, or intentions. I get on Bobby's and BJ's cases constantly about the pedo comments. A lot of mental illness out there (sorry Bobby, no implication). And I do consider pedophilia a mental illness. While we may judge actions, words, and deeds, it is impossible for us to judge one's mind or soul. That is where you were going--attempting to read his mind. Words are an indicator, but they do not completely reveal one's entire intent or in the case of a public discussion board, his life or actions. You can't judge his actions here, you do not know them. You only have his words.

Okay, lets pretend that one of my teachers in high school was able to get me in a compromising position (I honestly think it could have happened, by the way) and did something about it. She would obviously be acting on the physical attraction, personal chemistry, and probably a little bit of mental instability on her part. Nevertheless, I wouldn't have been fighting her off too hard. I wouldn't doubt that some of these cases involved the same dynamics. That's all I'm saying.
Ok, tie this back to Sandusky. High school, say ages 15-17? You are in adolescence at that point. Your hormones are raging. And you have a psycho teacher, emotionally unbalanced at best. It doesn't excuse it, it's still wrong even if you believe you are giving consent. Trust me, at 25, 30, 40, pimple-assed teenage boys were not attractive to me. Nitwits in my view. The female is clearly not acting in her best interests, rationally and the teenager, of course, is going for whatever conquest he can get.

But in Sandusky's case, these were pre-pubescent boys. Had no clue. Were violated, and Sandusky clearly abused his authority. When you're a normal kid, you typically comply with authority. Their sense of right and wrong and of personal boundaries isn't nearly as far along as a horny teenage boy.

Better yet, take it over to Father Romano over at Our Lady of Victory Church in Marble Cliff. He is Italian, meaning FROM ITALY, and he will best be able to relate to what I'm talking about the most. Don't take it to one of the members of the falsetto voiced boys club interspersed at parishes around town. Most of those boys are Westerners who dont have a clue.
Ah, so now we have only a few priests who are qualified to speak on Catholicism. Perhaps I will. I would love to know what he thinks about a "good Catholic" calling a girl he's never meant a "diseased skank" and George calling her a c*nt. This should be fun.

Past conversations, your zealotry, your lax attitude toward pedophilia and your extreme hatred have helped me form my opinion that you're a CINO. But then again, I don't know you in person. You don't know me in person. Regardless, this is all moot. The fact that you think I want your good opinion is what's funny.

I don't know what it would be a clue to. I just didn't find it that difficult to become a Catholic. Right before I was to be baptized I decided not to join the religion, so I never was baptized.
So while I agree with you on the latter half of your post, do you apply the same thinking to Bob's apparent judgments of me? He doesn't know anything about me, certainly nothing about my sexual history yet claims I'm a "diseased skank." I'm not necessarily concerned with his thoughts towards me, I'm just wondering if his judgments are okay in your book?
1. Obviously, you were 13 and not committed to the idea.

2. Sometimes, the better way is view the context and the responses. Have you seen me support those comments? Sometimes, no response is the best response, particularly in the context that the insults were not aimed at me.

3. There are men who see women as meat, some who don't. Women do influence that. In new-agey speak, you get what your vibes put out.

Apparently you need to learn how to read. I said my posts too. Never once have you read a post of mine where I've used any racial epithets, nor used any foul language worse than "hell," "damn" and MAYBE sh*t...though I doubt I've used that. I do not call people names on a routine basis, I do not demean someone because of their political affiliation and use terms like "teabaggers" to match your kind of language. I don't make fun of people for their career choice, where they went to school, or their body size.

So, I have no problem showing a priest my posts. You, on the other hand, should be very embarrassed of yourself.

An Italian Catholic will best know where I'm coming from because he grew up in a culture similar to the one in which I grew up in. The lifestyle, the expectations and the approach to the faith are far different in Europe than they are here. Faith is embedded in the cultural fabric of someone's life by the way the act, and by the dynamics of how they interact with others. It has more to do with lifestyle than anything else, and our lifestyle is not based on Snookie and the Khardahian skanks.

He comes from the Abruzzi region, which is in the middle of the country but he understands what an ethnic Catholic thinks and why they think that way. The falsetto-voiced boys club members run the gamut of those who understand (the ones who came from an ethnic home) and those who are more Westernized. I think he will tell you my mentality is pretty par for the course.
