Yes, Paco, I did. But actually, Bob could still have been an adult in 1928 and later be tasked with pumping the gas at Treblinka in 1942.

Thanks for pointing it out though, loser.

So, A right wing blog that regurgitates Mr. Dawkins' stated opinion that he felt he suffered "no lasting harm" from a an incident of molestation that occurred to him decades ago is proof that he agrees that "atheism renders irrational any notion of absolute morality"?
No, Dawkins has made the statement previously.
His recent approval of "mild pedophilia" only confirms it.

Well Dave, when Tippy self righteously pretends that her religion is the only truth, the only way...while residing in a republic that clearly offers fundamental constitutional protections to those who disagree, it tends to offend those people.
Nobody here is telling Tippy that she can't believe what she wishes.

The discussion centered on whether absolute morality could exist absent God.
Neither I, nor anyone else, demanded that you believe in God.
Your derisive comment, above, is extremely revealing.
Ponder that.

I can't say any human being is free of criticisms. We're all imperfect. But Che and others play their sock puppet games. I know what I know about George, not public knowledge, so I make my judgements based on information that you or others do not know.
We are free to make friendships and other relationships as we see fit. If anyone doesn't like who I am friends with or not friends with, tough sh!+. I really don't need to justify it.
Never asked you to. The hypocrisy is when you call people out for a certain behavior when your own exhibit the same. What you may or may not know of George that apparently excuses his behavior is moot. You don't know Che or Duke or me or anyone else that may, in your mind, excuse our behavior.

Stand proud, Duke.
Anytime anyone mentions atheism, all people can do is bring up Richard Dawkins. He is not a Svengali. He is not our leader and he doesn't speak for the entire population of atheists. What he or any other atheist says is irrelevant and speaks to his own mentality and opinion. Just because Richard Dawkins says something, doesn't make it truth or else you could argue that his belief that there isn't a good is truth as well.

God existed previous to "Christianity."

The first moral directives are found in Genesis 2:15-17:

"The Lord God took the man and put him in the garden of Eden to work it and keep it. And the Lord God commanded the man, saying,'You may surely eat of every tree of the garden, but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die.'"

Translation: Occupy yourself productively; avoid evil.

I believe in climate change -- climate changes with the season and sometimes weather patterns produce long-term trends.

Darwinian evolution, as a theory, stands on equal ground with the theory of Intelligent Design. Neither has been proven...unless you, personally, have replicated Darwin's evolutionary scenario, that of a "warm little pond, with all sorts of ammonia and phosphoric salts, lights, heat, electricity, etc. present, so that a protein compound was chemically formed ready to undergo still more complex changes," with observable results.

Next?

"If there is no God, there are no rights and wrongs that transcend personal preference ... Moral judgments [are] purely subjective. It is self-evident and acknowledged by the foremost atheist philosophers that if a moral God does not exist, neither does a universal morality. Without God all we can have are opinions about morality..."

- Denis Prager and Joseph Talushkin, "The Nine Questions People Ask About Judaism"

Confirmed not only by Richard Dawkins, but by secular luminary Bertrand Russell, who wrote:

"I cannot see how to refute the arguments for the subjectivity of ethical values, but I find myself incapable of believing that all that is wrong with wanton cruelty is that I don't like it."

In the absence of a higher power of some sort, morality is an illusion.

In that case morality is just a standard that folks of good will wish to impose on others. Why would it make any more sense than the Aleister Crowley statement, "Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the Law"?

I'm not a religious guy but I must also point out that Christians and many other religions believe that God is infinite.
