So you're telling me that your experience as a participant can automatically scan those who look like you, drive a car like you, dress like you, and still judge their portfolio? How much do you charge for readings?
See Paco.

His rates are cheaper.

No, you can't worry about or control someone else's decisions. But I often see you as deriding what another believes is good.
I have a daughter who is soon-to-be Dr. O'Keefe, Psy.D. She is in clinical practice with troubled middle and high school kids who have experienced abuse or addiction problems. The board exams will come soon. She faces a tough world. I also have another kid, who is already Dr. O'Keefe, PhD teaching at university level in communication with a focus on dysfunctional families and families in crisis. I have hope in this world. Whodathunk that would've sprung from my lowly stupid Capital BA loins as Che would say?
Congrats to them, and you.

None. The "afterlife" reward isn't the incentive in the Catholic faith. The motive is to move forward in faith. You missed that mark. No one is taught to "chalk up their good deeds" because "someone is counting."

Am I the only one who finds this doesn't make sense? And no, I don't donate blood because of cancer (restricted). I'm surprised you're allowed to donate if it has negative effects on your health.
I'm chronically anemic. When my iron levels get high enough, I donate. Unfortunately that means for the next few weeks I will be tired. Last time I donated blood I almost fainted. I still donate because I know it can help someone.

I don't ask people if they're charitable, because that's there business and has no effect on my own performance. Just with Dave - I only announced it here because I have no other means of correspondence with him. Nor do I want anything in return and I wouldn't even expect or want a thank you. I just want people to be happy and for an act of kindness to brighten their day.
Not a single person had any "issue" with your "charitable acts," as explained by gokeefe here:

http://www.topix.com/forum/columbus/T76DKCJ0S...

Your previously-stated, firm pro-abortion stance loomed in stark contrast to your stated charitable efforts on behalf of needy animals, and I merely noted such.

The forum leftists then promptly redirected the discussion at me, questioning my charitable efforts, which were demanded in detail, with proof. And why? Because [as you yourself confirmed by your derisive "high-income white" comment], leftists deny that any affluent, white conservative contributes to any cause...outside of his 401k.

Well, many of us forum conservatives have shattered that particular leftist lie.

Carry on with your good needs.

The answer was in "getting to know" the people. I see the same people at these events and I know who they are. More often than not, they are just regular joe's with middle-class (if that) existences. I have not once seen a high-ranking CEO help out with any of these projects. Not to say it doesn't happen, but not within the events I'm a part of that often deals with the areas around Livingston, Miller Kelton, etc.

Despite the fact that you both post with registered names and both show a little white envelope in the corner.
I don't contact people if they do not wish to be contacted. I believe many other people offered their help to him as well. Why your panties are in a bunch over my offer is beyond me. Looks like you're just trying to stir some sh*t. Dave and I have been in touch and he knows I'm here if he needs me. Anyone else's opinion about the matter is moot.

You have no concept of the millionaire next door. They are the ones who do not discuss their finances, their means, etc., PARTICULARLY at events which are helping those less fortunate. They are not high-ranking CEOs and often are not CEOs at all. In fact, they live in middle-class neighborhoods and act like regular joes. They live well below their means for personal reasons. For someone who is so concerned about being nice, you ignorantly dissed "high-income white" folks, many of whom are out there toiling right beside you. In fact, they may be driving a 12 year old Honda with a factory radio because they are just that frugal.

The fact of the matter is, you don't know the personal finances of everyone you meet at a charity event. Until they've chosen to show you their hand (ha!), please stop with the insults.

Once more, with vigor. This is what you said, and I called you on your lie. I never mentioned the offer OR your relationship with Dave. Post in a public place, get a public response. Don't like it? Send a private message using that white envelope up on the right hand corner. Back to what you said:

You remind me of someone I ran into who changed their baby at the restaurant table. Why? They said there was no changing table in the restrooms. Apparently they couldn't walk to their car. Kids nowadays!

One other thing: At the worst of times throughout my life, I was often helped by those high-income white folks who could not write the help off their taxes, nor did they tell others about their good deeds. It wasn't a grand communal effort written up in the paper, or discussed on Topix. These were often self-made millionaires who, yes, looked and sounded like the Average Joe. Come out to the 'burbs and get educated on who is helping whom, because you are clueless.

Why do you care? It seems someone is being a little snarky. Were you taking the night off from preaching to others about their posting?
