LOL Now you want me 'herding cats?' I feed them under the pine trees, away from the house. Put the food in sieves so if it rains the water doesn't collect. There is an empty 24 horse stable on the property, but I have no idea if the cats use it or not. I do hope the bats do because we have a shortage and they eat the bugs.
Great job at work raising $. That's a lot of food.
I think you'd be a great cat herder! lol It's nice of you to feed them. I wouldn't be surprised if they used the barn as a place to give birth and nurse kittens.

You're the only moron here who thinks its important that you graduated from a particular college, and then tries to bait others into a discussion about where they went to school.
You're like the guy people meet at a cocktail party who always has a one upper...always. The one who everybody finds a reason to end their conversation with and run away from.
You've never noticed that, have you?
Pay attention Paco. People might like you more if you didn't do that crap.

Dude, you are sadly desperate. Tip bragged that he does more volunteer work in a week than others do in a decade and Duke asked him what he did and then Tip clammed up. Your demand that Duke say where he went to college would only be analogous if Duke had bragged that his college education was superior to anyone else's.

Get it? Perhaps you should have taken some critical thinking or logic courses, oh so many years ago.

<quoted text>Who exactly did I manipulate? I didn't take anything from anybody, and I hope I never have too. But that was very nice of M to offer. That kind of stuff means a lot to me. I said some bad things to her in the past, and it takes a lot of good in her to look past those things, forgive me, and do something like that. I'm sorry if you think I'm such a horrible person, but she apparently sees the truth.
I don't think you manipulated anyone, certainly not me. I would have offered even if you had manipulated. I think anyone who tries to help another being deserves to be helped. I don't know much about you, but then again, no one on here really knows much about me and yet they offer their judgments, so I base my own judgment from there. As I said to you in the PM, animal people are kindred spirits to me. Wishing you luck.

So, you don't believe I am what I say I am?

Or you think its important where I went to school?

I don't understand, Paco. Explain it to me.

But if Tip is gonna question MPNF's integrity and motives, shouldn't Tip also question why those folks doing no-kill shelter work aren't also working to assist in funding the support of unwanted children?

MPNF is decidedly pro-abort; in other words, she believes a mother should be able to kill her unwanted child in utero.

Perhaps, adopting and feeding kitties soothes her guilt over such a heinous belief.

I need a drink. I'd happily join Dave for one or two, show him how adept I am at operating a Ford 555 or a Deere (either controls), a Cat Dozer, an excavator or a pan. I'd feel bad about it fo a little while, but Dave a big boy and can make his own decisions.

Paco...I'd buy him so much liquor he'd be resembling Mr. Lahey on Liquor Day.

<quoted text>
The difference in the situations is that no one is born an alcoholic. People are born black.
One can become a recovered alcoholic. Black people can't unblack themselves.
It sickens me to see people coddle an alcoholic because he's just like them, except for the whole substance abuse thing. And then these same people feel that black people deserve any and everything that happens to them just because they're black. There still are fundamental barriers that black people must overcome in this society, simply because they're black. Just because some of us succeed doesn't mean that the barriers are no longer there.
When that alcoholic joins in with the racist behavior of those people just like a trained monkey, well then any empathy I may have felt just goes out the window. If he wants help, he can help his damn self and stop whining about being sick and sacrificing for his kitties and doing whatever kind of work he thinks he does and waking up the next morning to find he gave all his money to a whoore.
Being prejudiced against alcoholics is the same thing as white people who are prejudiced against black people. Maybe no one is born sucking on a beer, but I've had a lot of experience working with children who are born with FAS and they are basically born into a life in which they will have to struggle forever not to fell into the traps of drug and alcohol abuse. One child I cared for was born with FAS and addicted to cocaine. She CAN control her life, but it's harder for her and she has certain mental propensities that will lead her to bad decisions.

I don't give preferential treatment to black people or white people. Two of my oldest, bestest friends are black and I don't think of them as "black" but my friends. Knowing them has really enlightened me to some of the daily issues they face just because of their skin color, so I agree with you that there are still issues to overcome.

I don't know much about Dave. Some people tend to jump on the bandwagon maybe just to feel some camaraderie. Who knows. I stuck a hand out there not knowing if it would get bitten, but maybe it changed his outlook, maybe not. I hope it did. But if you keep berating him, I think you might be working against your cause to break down the barriers. Just a thought.

The contrast is remarkable.
You're barking up the wrong tree there. I'm not a pro-abort. I wish there wasn't a need for abortions. But in the meantime, I go agree that women should have the right to choose. Never in my life have I ever said I was FOR abortion. Your friend Bob has however.
