It just seems like a really weird diss. I like being a woman so I am always pretty confused when people throw it around like an insult.
Why won't you? Just because you haven't been yet, doesn't mean that you can't. I hate to harp on it, but part of the allure of getting healthy is that it's going to open up a whole new range of things that you're able to do. I imagine that as a truck driver that you saw beatuiful, amazing places that I never imagined. If you start getting yourself together, maybe we can arrange a tour guide swap trip. I7ll happily show you around my daily dreary greyness some day for a slice of real America!
Yes, I have seen lots of cool things. But I also saw a lot of bad things on the road. Tornadoes and hurricanes really suck. I saw peoples lives destroyed by storms, but I helped a lot of people too during my career. Now, I don't get out too much because I have to take care of this property. I don't like leaving here and my cats. My boss takes good care of me, and I return the favor. I get out maybe' twice a month to go shopping and I'm happy with that. But I am enjoying having a civilized discussion with you right now. I don't remember you ever doing me wrong. Thanks.

If you7re happy at home, be happy at home. Some people need to range and roam to find someplace to belong. Some other folks aren't completely happy unless they're out on the road. The people who have a place that they love, that they feel centered on and don't need to wander from it? I think that gets less appreciation than it should

I would love to be on the road again, but a lot has changed out there, and the drivers that come here tell me that I would hate it now. I have it pretty good here, but this isn't going to last forever. But then again, I am an old fart and neither am I. You might be seeing a change in my attitude tonight and I would like to tell you why. MPNF made a comment this morning that really stuck with me all day and made me think.

Just think about what's going to make things work best for you in the near and far futures. Getting things sorted will let you better address the things you would like to change!

I will, thank you. This winter will either make or break me. I'm not ready to break yet.

Ever think your really ugly attitude makes you easy pickings for lambasting? I do. You're one I would hope to never meet personally. You're a cesspool of negativity.

I said "that you didn't find attractive," you knucklehead. At least we have established that you are as small minded as the young man you described. If you were comfortable with yourself, someone hitting on you wouldn't bother you to the point of changing your political views. Ye gods.
If you were comfortable with YOURself, you wouldn't behave as you do here. Not to mention you can't stand Christians. Their behavior didn't influence your political beliefs? Oh wait, it did. But I'm the one who's small-minded. Okey dokey, then.

I can't stand hypocritical Christians. You may be surprised to know this, but there is a difference. Mind you, they are in the minority, but non-hypocritical Christians do exist. I have no problem with them whatsoever.

<quoted text>I'm sorry I didn't reply to your post the other day. There isn't much as far as charities in Geauga county.I cant even get food stamps in this county during the winter because I'm not disabled, and I don't have kids.I do appreciate the offer though. That was nice of you.I will probably die soon anyway according to Che, from the MASSIVE alcohol intake that I partake in.
I wasn't thinking that you'd solicit them for help. Sometimes organizations will be the go-between a person who is caring for animals and someone who wants to donate to the cause. That's what I was offering. I can buy cat food, litter, toys, etc. Whatever need to be bought to care for the animals. If you can figure out a way to get those items to you, I'll be happy to do so.

Here is just one example.

There are 10 more organizations on this page alone.

A Google search pulls up many more.

I will be ok for a while, but come February things may be different. But I sure appreciate the offer. That comment you made yesterday morning about doing nice things and so forth really hit home for me. I was reading that with my co worker sitting next to me, and he just looked at me and said "see a-hole, people are trying to be nice to you". I thought about that all day. Thank you.

Thank you. I guess there are organizations that will help me if I need it. I feel bad taking that help though due to all the money I spend on beer that could be feeding my cats if I get in a pickle down the road.

Isn't one of the hallmarks of an abusive alcoholic that they will milk you with their sob stories until you give and give and give and give and it never does any good?
Someone's milking it here. Get off your ays and go to AA, you drunk. <- There. There's some real help for you. Now watch all the compassionate conservatives give me agita for it.
Ah, you are a right wing conservative thinker now eh.

Nope. Just able to spot a manipulative alcoholic when I see one.
So mandatory substance abuse testing and required public service work for all folks that receive government hand outs then?
