Actually, what Duke said never, ever about was it's movement, not the direction.

Please however, feel free to explain how you have movement without direction or multiple directions....That should be FN hilarious........(It's a racist thing right?)

However in addition to changing direction of flow, the river also moved out of its original bed as well during and post glacial thaw.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cuyahoga_River
The river is a relatively recent geological formation, formed by the advance and retreat of ice sheets during the last ice age. The final glacial retreat, which occurred 10,00012,000 years ago, caused changes in the drainage pattern near Akron. This change in pattern caused the originally southward-flowing Cuyahoga to flow to the north.
As its newly reversed currents flowed toward Lake Erie, the river carved its way around glacial debris left by the receding ice sheet, resulting in the river's winding U-shape

carry on then

He very well may have been thinking and DID pray for me. So what? That's his concern. I just had a private conversation with another poster on here about this very subject. The person said that even though I'm an atheist, they included me in their prayers and my non-belief didn't affect how they felt about or thought of me. And that's the way it should be. I told this person that I was flattered that they took time out of their day to think of me, even if it was in the form of a prayer. That's how mature people conduct themselves.
I don't think the priest had any intentions of converting me. Why would he? I never expressed an interest and he never tried to get me to think any differently. Our conversation was about the behavior of others who proclaim they are Christian but behave in the opposite manner, as well as the misunderstandings of atheists by Christians. I actually enjoy speaking to clergy because unlike people like Bob and George, they know what they're talking about and have devoted their lives to following a path. I've only met with one priest with whom I had an argument with and that is the one who turned me away from the Catholic religion.
What's your point? My original post was dripping with sarcasm.

Did you really intend to run to this priest, all with baited breath, like a child on the playground: "Look at how big of a meanie Georgie is! He's wicked!" That is how your comments came across.

George and Bob absolutely know what they're talking about. All three of us are Catholic, we know the faith. Your attempt at judgement and making particularly George fit into your preconceived notion of what Catholicism is, is laughable and naive. Your implications regarding maturity are completely off base.

hahahahahahaha..

Well then you are in part correct, I am right.

As for the second part of your statement, I never made that claim.

Since the river has not always existed, I supposed you could make the claim that at one point it started flowing.

During it's brief existence on a planet about 4.5 billion years old it did in fact change the direction that it flows.
Sooner or later as the topography of the earth continues to change I would guess it will stop as well.......

I'm sure dukie thanks you for attempting to carry his water......

It was a lake at one time, eons ago.

But, so eager to find fault in my original statement you digress.

My original statement was not meant to be applied to what transpired over 10,000 years ago, yet I played along with your silly game merely to appease you. I'll post an interesting article for you later today.
