Another wrong way driver? So Sad. Maybe we need more than the "Wrong Way" signs?

No it wasn't lack of signs. Nearly every one of these wrong way accidents involves alcohol.

I feel this has happened so often in drunk driving and the elderly mistakenly taking the wrong exit and heading onto a highway the wrong direction.

Why not install those tire-puncture units in the middle of the lanes on ramps? That way emergency vehicles can still get around them going wrong direction if necessary. But the average drunk driver or elderly person will get multiple flat tires. Requiring them to stop.

Just an idea. It would cost moderate money to install these on at least the most active wrong-way ramps. However, the loss of life cost money as well to insurance companies. Thus, maybe the insurance companies could ante' up at least 1/2 the bill. Oh well,... an idea. I'll go ahead and share this with the Highway Patrol while i'm thinking of it.

To the families of this collision,... I am very sorry for your loss.

Most Respectfully,
Marysville

They won't again.... I use my seatbelt everytime. Well, sorry but a few more fools on the road we don't need to worry about. It just never ends.... Police do nothing all day long. Ow they go on calls..... However they don't stop one person running red lights, stop signs etc....etc....etc...etc...etc. ..etc....Well this could go on for a million times. So when people die like this. These three did this all to themselves. Should have stayed home? You think? Didn't see drinking and driving blowing up in your face hu?
How was it the driver of the Ford Focus' fault? They were driving minding their own business. It was the driver of the Civic that caused this and she is now dead. Additionally, I drove Route 23 Saturday through there and police were all over that road. I had a woman pass me doing at least 80 and the cop nearly killed himself getting turned around to go get her. As soon as he caught up to her, she immediately pulled over as she knew she was busted.
My point is one person did it to all three of them. If she had stayed home or someone had stopped her from driving...this wouldn't have happend. Also, the police can't be everywhere at all times.

The only ones to feel sorry for----is the couple minding their own business---as they were heading north on US23. No proof ----- a seatbeat would have saved their lives. A headon collision is usually a fatal one.

One reason why I don't like to drive after 11 pm, because many drunks on the roads.

Last time I checked, not wearing a seat belt was a $75 fine, not the death penalty. It is unfortunate that the two innocent victims weren't wearing their belts. But as an auto insurance appraiser, I can tell you that no seat belt is going to save someone in a small car from a head on crash at moderate speeds. Belts or not, the two innocent victims derserve our sympathy.

Wow... didn't know anyone could actually BE as stupid as you are! Oh, so the people driving legally in the right direction are at fault did this to themselves? Just how do you see THAT being true, genius? And as for your equally idiotic quote that "police do nothing all day long", just how juvenile could you possibly be? I drove from Cols. to Southern Ohio on Friday, and the roads were thick with Highway Patrol and Sheriff's Deputies pulling people over right and left and issuing citations. Do us all a favor, will you? Go back down in your mom's basement, turn on some cartoons or Star Trek, and unplug your computer so we don't have to hear from yutzes like you, o.k.? Until you can provide an informed opinion! And remember if you are ever out driving and are a victim of another driver's negligence that according to YOU, you deserved it and brought it on yourself by being out driving. Geez... how does your brain provide enough power to move your body around?

Wow, yet another moron. You don't know (what a shock, you don't know something!) if seatbelts would have saved the innocent people in the car that was driving the right direction or not. In a headon collision, hard to say if seatbelts would have saved them or not. And if they hadn't been hit headon, they would be fine. Geesh, three people DIED you thoughtless jerk. Show a little respect instead of waving your nasty words around about the deceased.

Jim: I am so sorry for your loss, and the losses of the other families involved. Please ignore moronic people on here saying the mean and insensitive things that they do. The majority of the people are good, and I know everyone that reads this who is a good person is sending prayers and good thoughts your way. God bless you and your family at this sorrowful time. Again, so sorry for your loss.
