"It's good government working in a collaborative manner," said John Ivanic, Columbus assistant director of public utilities and communication director for Columbus City Council. They're talking about water and sewer services and the possibility of an agreement to have the city of Columbus, with 275,000 customers, take over Franklin County's system and its 6,400 customers spread across the county in small, unconnected pockets.

If you annex to Columbus, you have to annex into Columbus Schools. That's why annexation for residential purposes has basically come to a halt.
